Does anyone have any sources for recent orthodox miracles

I am writing a book on called Christian miracles

What are the best recent orthodox miracles

They have a recurring miracle that happens once a year called "Holy Fire".

There are also two more annual miracles--the reversing of the waters in the Jordan River and
the Holy Cloud appearance at Mount Tabor.

Look down a few posts and you will see one of God's newer miracles in the myrrh-streaming icons, one originating in Hawaii.

Go to a monastery and you can probably find a monk that can tell you about miracles that occurred there.

I am writing a book on called Christian miracles

If you are writing a book on miracles, you should first understand the definition and meaning of miracle as it is normally used in the Bible.  I think you are confusing miracles with special providence of God.  Miracles in the Bible are almost exclusively supernatural acts performed by humans acting through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Acts of God apart from a human agent are acts of providence, not miracles.  People do miracles.

I hadn't really thought of that before.  It seems to be a technical distinction.  The parting of the Red Sea was not a miracle, then?  I do see the distinction, but we have no word for supernational miraculus acts.

They are called acts of God, or providential acts of God.  Some are supernatural, that is they are acts that are outside of or violate the natural order of things.  When the wind blew to such an extent that the Red Sea was parted, enabling the Hebrews to cross to the other side and then the wind stopped, catching the Egyptians that was clearly an act of God operating outside the normal weather related activity.  Some are not necessarily outside the natural order of things.  Providential acts also may be divided into permissive acts and purposive acts.

The parting of the Red Sea did take place through human interaction: God told Moses to lift up his staff and stretch out his hand and divide the sea, and Moses did.  So according to 4WD's description, this would be a miracle.
