Nobody knows when the last day will be, not even the angels in heaven know. Only the Father knows when (Matthew 24:36).

In the meantime, we are to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:12-13). Be faithful to Him.

I reckon it will haapen it happen later in 2016-17 or later but i reckon 2012 is to early. all i know is that my messianic bible study group that i attend agree that the end won't likely be in 2012. I  wish i could remmember more infomation to show you evidence behind my claim. i can't prove or disprove you and i am going to leave it on that note to be safe but i stongly believe that the tribulation has not started yet nor that the end is coming in 2012.

But i do remeber somthing about the four generations that i think i posted a while ago maybe last year and apprently at the end of the benjamine generation either tribulation or the end will come. These four generations started from the 1900's and i think they wre like 25-30 time periods(generations) .  here i copied this of one of myposts i made :

In the generation of 1916-1945 60% of this generation were bible believing Church going evangelical Christians.  The next generation called the boomer generation from 1945- 1965 the numbers decreased to 35%.  The Builder generation from 1966-1985 the number of evangelical Christians decreased to 16% and the next generation called the Bridger generation, which is 1986 to 2006 the number has decreased to just 4%.  I wonder how long the bejamin generation will go for which the one wer are in now.

damm i hope that percentage has increased  Frowning, think i heard this info from a sermon by Joseph Prince

The worlds end has been being predicted at different times for as long as I can remember(Probably long before that).
The last big deal was to have occurred when the year changed from i9999 to 2000.  The conclusion I have reached
is that the world ends for each one of us separately and privately at the time of our individual deaths. IMO.   Smile
       May GOD save us all,Amen.

We aren't supposed to be date fixing as to the "end."  Jesus said that no one knew the day nor the hour but the Father in Heaven.  We're just supposed to be ready when OUR end comes - whether that be before or when Jesus comes back.    Like sands through the hour glass...

Prophecy has given us signs to follow, so we will know the direction our world is taking.  And when things come to pass, it vindicates Scripture and our faith.  We're also given guidelines as to how we should spend our time and come closer and closer to our Lord.   Reading

Each generation has felt that His coming was "at the very doors."  We see what is unfolding around us, and feel that way, too.  I, personally, believe that Jesus WILL The Bible come soon.  But "soon" to God is not necessairly the same as "soon" to us.   We are to just watch and wait, and to work to proclaim the Gospel as Jesus instructed.  Preach it!

What are we doing as a "good" servant of Jesus Christ?  Will He proclaim to us, "Well done, good and faithful servant?"  At times I know my interests supercede the passion I should feel for the Lord and His work.  When I read the Gospel, He reminds me where my "treasure" should be accumulating, and it's NOT here.

Help us to be ready, and "amen, come Lord Jesus!"    Clapping up high Cheerleader Amen!

Ms Slivia:

Instead, we need to be 'looking unto Jesus', as Hebrews says, right? and keep serving Him by His grace, while we wait for His return.

Take care.

John 3.16 contains great theology, without doubt.

I hope some of you are not missing the author's point:  "If you don’t know Jesus, then now is the time to meet Him. Read the 3rd chapter of the Gospel of John. If you are a believer, now is the time to spread the news. The fields are ready for harvest."

I do not know about the rest of you, but I read many things that must come to pass prior to start counting those of a certain generation.

Matthew 24:5  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

This has been done and is continuing.

Matthew 24:6-8  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

An ever present event in our world.

Matthew 24:9  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

What is Jesus talking about? Matthew 24:3 says that as Jesus sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Matthew 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

What end is being talked of here? We read back in Verse 3 that Jesus was asked of the end of the world (Age).

Matthew 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Has all nations (Not individuals) been preached to yet?

Matthew 24:15  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

This event will occur in the middle of the tribulation.

Matthew 24:16-22 These next verses certainly describe great tribulation. Revelation 3:10 calls that time "The hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

16  Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17  Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18  Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19  And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20  But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Just read on through those verses and find our text context of who that generation pertains to and when it begins. Hopefully present Christians will be in heaven prior to most of these things ever coming to pass.

Matthew 24:34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Good points, Larry.

There are many things that need to happen yet.  Jesus said that those days would be shortened, or He would not even find faith on the earth.

Kinda like the Berlin Wall.  I would never have thought that it would come down in my generation, or that the USSR would fall.  They seemed to have been rock solid.  We were all glued to the tube in awe when these things happened.

God has ways and means we have no understanding about that could bring these prophecies happen before we know it.

Like Stucky said,  make our election and calling sure, so these days do not come upon us when we are unaware and unready. Smile

I seem to recall that in Revelation it says to come out of Babylon, take no part in her sins and share not in her plagues. If people here ignore that warning, then I am afraid that in the not far distant future they are going to receive a very rude awakening.

Dear JHM, you certainly put a lot of effort into attempting to associate different churches as the cause of the tribulation if I follow you right; I did not read it all and only looked at chapter headings and little more if it interested me. The problem with your theory is that you seem to be taking away the spiritual character of those churches in Revelation Chapters two and three and calling them unchristian. Can you possibly condense your writing to something like one page we'll actually take a look at? For instance in Revelation 18:4 God's people are told to come out of that system or suffer the plagues she will suffer.

My thoughts.

I am afraid that you are completely misunderstanding what I have said. Further, you will never be able to grasp the essentials of a written document by skipping through it in the manner you say you did. Quite often one word can alter the meaning of a paragraph. If you want it condensed then here it is :

The United States better fits the description of the "Babylon" that is to be destroyed than any other locale or organization on earth. Canada best fits as the "Chaldea" that is to be destroyed with "Babylon". If you want to know why, then you are going to have to read the whole thing.
