Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
Luke 19:12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
Jesus wants us to not live like those whom He is addressing here. And, He does not want us to be like the church at Thessalonica (Millerites of their day).
The Jews expected Jesus to set up His political kingdom during His first advent. That was not His purpose. He has told us to occupy until He comes again. Like the servants we have all been equipped to do His work and to rest in Him (faith) until His second advent. Don't let others, including Christians who are busybodies who want to focus on everything but Him, take your eyes from Him.
