This forum will be for discussion of what's known as "End Times" in Christian circles. The "End Times" or "End of Days" are the eschatological writings in the Bible often associated with the books of Revelation, Daniel, Micah and Isaiah. These often involve doomsday scenarios depicted as a time of tribulation that precedes the appearance or return of Jesus who will usher in the Kingdom of God and bring an end to suffering and evil.

The Apocalypse of John and Gospel of John are held by most current Christian scholars to have been written at least a decade after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD, and especially around 90-95AD for those supportive of the Dispensationalism school of thought. This claim has been contested (Preterism), and there has been much debate following the publication of Kenneth Gentry's work Before Jerusalem Fell, which book argues from archaeology and ancient texts (including the Book of Revelation itself) that the book of Revelation was written during the reign of Roman emperor Nero in the 60's AD.

So in discussion remember Matthew 24:36, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

All of this can be discussed in this forum and all forum rules apply. Remember to download our forum toolbar so that you can see the most recent post titles no matter what website you're on.

You decide. lol.
Rev.1:1,  1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place.

The person of the Father is noted here, besides Jesus. Was it not the Father who knew the day & hour, whereas Jesus said that not even the Son knew?  Pondering

But that was written after you claim the prophesies were fulfilled...

I hear some talk going on but I don't hear a lot about how others believe the endtimes will unfold.
For example, I believe that we are the terminal generation that will witness the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The days are surely evil.  I believe in a "pretribulation Rapture of the church of the firstborn.  I believe that there will immediately follow a seven yr. covenant between the Antichrist and Israel.  There will be a seudo-peace for the first 3.5 yrs.  In the middle of the seven year Tribulation the Antichrist will then move his place of power from Rome to the third rebuilt temple that is ready to be built now, fulfilling prophecy from the book of Daniel.  The Antichrist is spoken of as the abomination that makes the Temple desolate.  The second half of the 7 yr. Trib. is described as "The great Tribulation (Matthew).  There is a tremendous amount of information that the books of the bible gives concerning the things that will occur during these 7 years.  It is most interesting to many bible students.
Yes, it's true that we are not to be looking for "Antichrist" but rather "CHRIST"...  Nevertheless, we are commanded to study ourselves approves unto God.  (2 Tim 2:15)...

In the Bible it states "in the last days young men will have visions and dream dreams"

I am certain the end time scenarios are in dreams and visions. Is there no one here who has been blessed with this gift of interpretation?

Dorian when do you think the "end times" started? You quoted from Acts 2:17 and even then you misquoted the verse. When was Peter speaking of here when he quoted from the prophet Joel?
