The Thorn in my Flesh-72 thorns

The Thorn in my Flesh
My Lord had 72 thorns on the Crown that put upon his head,

We begin in Mark 10:35-40 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, "Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask."

And He said to them, "What do you want Me to do for you?"

They said to Him, "Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glory."

But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you ask.
Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"

They said to Him, "We are able." So Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized;

The Lord had 72 thorns on the Crown that put upon his head, the baptism, the cup He refer are these thorns that James and John, the sons of Zebedee. Which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the thorn of Satan, they didn’t understand only after the crucifixion they did understand

But to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but

it is for those for whom it is prepared." are selected 72 thorns
Meaning it is whose Christ’s selected to sit with Him, by the Father

In Hosea 6: 1 – 11; and II Cor. 7 - 10 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath thorn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

He will bind us up
Isaiah 30:26 Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day when the LORD binds up the brokenness of his people, and heals the wounds inflicted by his blow.

Seven fold meaning Spiritual endurance greater then seven-fold
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
With the stripes of spiritual fire we are healed, cleans

Isaiah 30: And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure (as Christ with His Father)

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

If I labor in the House of God, the yoke refers is my loyalty, light affection. The burden set before me is Satan

He has thorns for us, that we may heal

Hosea 5:14 For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and no one shall rescue.
Hosea 13:7-8 So I am to them like a lion; like a leopard I will lurk beside the way.  I will fall upon them like a bear robbed of her cubs; I will tear open their breast, and there I will devour them like a lion, as a wild beast would rip them open.

John 2:24-25. But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And when the unclean spirit had torn him,
And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Hebrews 12:3-8 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.
And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives."
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?
But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.

Zech 12:11-14 In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the morning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves;
 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves;
all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves.

Note: All of Israel will mourn for the Messiah, including members of the royal family and the priests, the house of David and the house of Levi. Wives by themselves: These words are quoted in the Talmud as an argument for separating men and women in worship. But the verse seems to indicate that each mourner will face his or her sorrow alone, without the comfort of companionship. Shimei was Levi’s grandson (Num. 3:18, 21).

Note: separating of men and women in worship indicate that each mourner will face his or her sorrow alone, without the comfort of companionship.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
We can not change was already being said
Lamentations 5:21 Turn us back to You, O LORD, and we will be restored; Renew our days as of old,

To Restore that it was before the fall at it was in days of Christ
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Zech 12:11-14

The New Covenant as the days of old
one must endure to be alone with Jesus in spirit’s there who select to served in the House of David
