The Temple Mount Faithful orthodox Jews in Jerusalem have for over two decades now been working towards building the new Jewish temple on the temple mount in Jerusalem. They have been working with world leaders to further that goal.

All of this is pure vanity, and represents the futile plans of puny men who believe they can succeed where previous attempts in the past have failed.  They don’t even realize that the site of the supposed “Temple Mount” is based on the wrong coordinates for the original site of the Temple.  God apparently has allowed this deception to prevail, so that their plans can stay on hold.

As I have said before, this supposed “Temple Mount” location is the site of the Roman Antonia Fortress, where our Saviour’s blood spattered the pavement during His scourging by the Romans.  Without realizing it, the strict Muslim requirement for visitors to remove their shoes before entering this site actually gives unspoken honor to the sufferings of Christ on that very ground.  I find this ironic, given that there is an inscription on this mosque denying even the possibility of the existence of a Son of God.  God has a wry sense of humor, for sure.

Those who don't understand what the orthodox Jews who still reject Jesus of Nazareth as The Messiah are planning, show they don't understand Bible prophecy for the end, and thus are not prepared, not watching per our Lord Jesus' command.

Everything prophesied for Jerusalem at the end is right on track. The Jew's plan to build another temple and startup old covenant worship with sacrifices again, is right on track. And it won't technically be a 'third' temple, but a fourth temple if one counts Herod's modifications of the 2nd temple back in history as a third one.

  TRUTH is, God didn't tell us every little detail of the future, as that would cause people to worship from fear & general knowledge insteada faith. He gave us a general outline.

  Now, if He punished the Jews severely for killing other ordinary people, how much more has he punished them for killing JESUS ?

God only saved a remnant of Israel in AD70 that were alive.

You need to study the O.T. more.  The only faithful remnant of Biblical Israel have gone to heaven (hades was emptied and the rest died long ago)

You need to study what God said to Israel in Deut.28,  when Moses with O.T. laws were written. God had blessings  for obedience and curses for disobedience:

  And there are quite a few Christians who are Jews by inheritance, not to mention many other Israelis who don't know their true national identity yet. (And neither do I.)

    The Jews are the only Israelis whose national ID we can be sure of. Very few other Israelis knew their true ID in Jesus' time; Anna the prophetess who lived in the temple, was of the tribe of Asher, & we don't see any other Israelis mentioned by their tribes after that. And by the time the Roman empire ended, virtually all but the Jews had lost their national ID.

  All the curses Moses prophesied on Israel for sinning fell upon the Jews, for sure. And they most likely fell on the others as well, whenever whatever nations they'd become part of suffered misfortune.  But God chose to allow the Jews to keep their national ID. And no other distinct people in history have undergone the persecution and outright hatred the Jews have, and survived as a people, let alone rebounded into a powerful little nation as the modern Jewish state has.   The holocaust was the culmination of God's punishment of the Jews for their murder of Jesus & their continued rejection of Him as Messiah. This punishment began in 135 AD with Hadrian's eviction of the Jews from their land. History shows that for over 1800 years, they were hated & persecuted wherever they went. And we know that after the nazis fell, God began to lift their punishment. remember, God promised to restore both Judah & Israel, & the founding of modern Israel is the beginning of that. And Jesus promised to reveal Himself to them, so as to end their unbelief in Him.

  Clearly, history has no record of the AOD being committed after Jesus was here. It did NOT occur 66-70 AD.

You had asked when Jeremiah 24 was fulfilled.  It’s in the context.  The “good figs” were those such as Daniel and his young friends; such as the princes of Judah, the carpenters and the smiths, and Jeconiah the king of Judah’s son.  Basically, those who were skillful and wise - the best that Judah had to offer went in the first deportation to Babylon.

God would regather the remnant of these “good figs” to return to their homeland, and give them a heart to know Him in the post-exilic return. 

As for the “evil figs”, these God would scatter and consume with various plagues: the sword, famine, and pestilence.  God named King Zedekiah of Judah, his princes, and those left in the land after the first deportation who would suffer these things in the final deportation when the city was taken and destroyed.  Jeremiah 24 - all of it already fulfilled.

Your continued stress on ethnic Israel and the tribes is putting misplaced importance on something that the Apostle Paul gave us warnings about.

I Timothy 1:4   “Neither give heed to fables and ENDLESS GENEALOGIES, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.”

Titus 3:9   “But avoid foolish questions, and GENEALOGIES, and contentions, and striving about the law; for THEY ARE UNPROFITABLE AND VAIN.”

The genealogies of the tribes and the ethnic nation of Israel served its purpose in identifying and setting up the ministry of the Messiah.  But once He had established by His resurrection the “One New Man” with the middle wall of partition between Jew and Gentile torn down, then the function for the tribes was over and done as an outmoded system under the superior benefits of the New Covenant. 

These genealogies were destined to be burned up - literally - when the “root and branch” records of Israel’s ancestry and progeny were destroyed in the “Great and dreadful day of the Lord” during God’s “days of vengeance” from AD 66-70.

Why are you attempting to resurrect the ashes of these genealogies by concentrating on an assumed importance of ethnic Israel as a nation today?  This is an “unprofitable and vain” exercise to engage in, now that we are currently under the New Covenant.

What Apostle Paul was teaching in Romans 11 about the remnant of Israel God reserved by His grace has nothing to do with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Paul was teaching about a remnant preserved IN The Gospel of Jesus Christ. And I assure you, that remnant of Israel is HUGE, and includes those of the ten lost tribes also who were not known as Jews.

You show you haven't even studied that Jer.24 chapter, but just skimmed over it. God is referring to JUDAH as the good basket of figs, not all Israel, not even the ten tribes, but actually the "house of Judah" remnant that returned to Jerusalem from the Babylon captivity. Those represent a small remnant of the Jews, and not all Israel, something many don't even understand from God's Word. God applies the idea of the fig to Judah there. And He mentions another people among Judah as the evil basket of figs.

I know who the GOOD basket of figs represent there; God tells us. It's about a remnant of the "house of Judah" that returned to Jerusalem after the Babylon captivity. The figs represent Judah, and after God split old Israel into two separate kingdoms, 'Judah' was the name of the southern kingdom, and those were the ones left in the land after the majority of the tribes of Israel were removed captive to Assyria and the lands of the Medes, which was prior... to Judah's Babylon captivity. So yes, I'm familiar with OT Bible history.

  God promised to RESTORE ISRAEL, & to make Israel & Judah one nation again. We see Him beginning to fulfill this promise in the establishment of the new sovereign nation of Judah.   While they call it "Israel" in the mistaken view that they're the only Israelis left, God will restore the rest of Israel when His time to do so comes. Now, this is plain Scripture, not some man-made theory.

  There are many more such verses in Scripture. This is but a short list.

  Yes, most Jews today still reject Jesus as Messiah. But we see that GOD HIMSELF will cdleanse them, and the rest of Israel.

  A key to understanding OT prophecies is when it reads "Jacob", it includes ALL ISRAEL, not just the Jews. Many people believe that the Jews are all that's left of Israel, but SCRIPTURE says otherwise. Some day, we will see who the rest of Israel is. We will see it either in this world or the next, depending on whether it occurs in our mortal lifetimes or not.
