Time line on Ezekiel 39:9
« on: Mon Feb 22, 2010 - 12:51:13 »
This is very interesting and I never thought about this .... And Israel will burn them for seven years. Ok lets see if you can follow me.... The Trib does not start until the anti makes a covenant with Israel that kicks off the Trib and then in the middle 3 1/2 years the abomination of desolation happens. Then Israel is running for its life to Petra lets say and we know that only one third survive, they will not have time to burn the weapons, but the bible says they will burn them for seven years. So does that mean the E38 war will happen 31/2 years before the the covenant of death..... very interesting your thoughts... PS the fourth day of the ninth month but not the year is when the Gog comes just a thought. I have heard that date kicked around.

Dear Bikelite, you are describing the battle of Armageddon with its seven months of cleanup; the first of the worldwide battles, and it will occur prior to the millennium. There is no description of cleanup in the battle of Gog and Magog at the end of the Millennium; fire comes down and just devours them. Are you aware that Armageddon - Gog and Magog - Jezreel -Migido are descriptions of the same area where many great battles were fought?

Eze 39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years;

Eze 39:12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land.

Eze 39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years;

And, this is modern day warfare?? Ezekiel prophesied during Israel's Exile in Babylon. He referred to the Babylonian Captivity. The nation of Biblical Israel will never be restored. Why do the Literalist ignore this plain teaching that the nation of Israel would utterly be dissolved, that it would never again be intact nor inhabit the land of promise? Please refer to Hosea 1:4-6; Isaiah 5:1-6 Jeremiah 19:1-11; 23:39, 40; Ma. 21:33-45; 23:37,38.

Does the Bible teach that God will save one nation by the proclamation of the Gospel and another nation through personal persuasion? This stands in arrogant opposition to the entire teaching of the New Testament regarding the New Covenant and God's Plan of Redemption for all mankind! "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to EVERY ONE that believes" (Ro. 1:16).

Bikelite, why do you only read one verse from scripture? May i suggest you read  Ezk. 39: 1 - 20? This way you won't read "between the lines". Just a suggestion.... ::cool::
