Will You Receive a Full Reward?
« on: Thu Mar 22, 2018 - 04:28:12 »
Ever notice that in heaven there are different positions attained by the saints? There are kings, priests, and servants. Some saints are seen in close proximity to Christ round about the throne, while others stand before the throne. Some are with Christ when He receives His throne, and others are taken up out of great tribulation. There are those with crowns, and some with palms.

2 John 1:8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

1 Corinthians 3:13  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

1 Corinthians 3:14  If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

1 Corinthians 3:15  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Revelation 22:12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

There a Scripture that tells us that whoever doesn't do even one of His commands (like willfully/intentionally) will be called least in the kingdom of Heaven so i believe they would be in the lowest position of the blessings in store in Heaven. No eye has seen nor ear has heard what the lord has prepared for us in the kingdom of Heaven that's a Scripture i recall also.

I can't help but imagine that whatever reward I've managed to earn will pale in comparison to the miraculous joy that I am even there at all!  How grateful I will be.  ::smile::

Having said that, I earnestly desire to do everything for His glory while on earth...and look forward to seeing in full what that really looked like to Him.

@angelic & @MeMyself - Thanks for your replies. This is the difference I believe in the very purpose of God as He works in our lives to will, and to do of His good pleasure. (Php 2:13).

God does have such love for us that gave Jesus to even die a death on the cross, and He does fulfill the law IN us who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit in Rom 8:4. Can we move from His acceptable will for us, to His perfect will for our lives?

I'm going to post a pamphlet again titled "Christian Sufferings" that bring these very things to fruition in our lives. Of course, maybe I'm the only one ever to be a believer, and suffer with Christ.   ::smile::

No, I suspect you are not alone, dear Larry.

I just feel uncomfortable thinking I'm earning myself anything...but my desire is to bring God His glory in all that I do.

I am eager to read and learn as you share. Thanks for doing so! ::smile::
