Ha! It looks like no one wants to answer this one! Question to the poster, though: due to your young age, and I assume status of single, it is good to ponder these things. Yet why ask on this forum -- Are there none in person to ask? Also, have you read through all the bible, searching on this topic? If not, why ask others about it first -- perhaps it is wiser to see what God has to say, first. And I'm not rocking the boat here, but those are foundational issues to be pondered first, as I see it.
Just a note, though. We have 6 kids. We've been married 19 years. Aged 18, 16, 14, 11, 9, 2. We've not been married to anyone else, and these are all our kids. If you lived with us, you would never see them bicker. or fight. or be mean. or argue. or lie.
Sound too good to be true? It's the real deal. This should be the normal way of things, but it isn't. So, if you ask a person with plumbing problems how to do plumbing, is that wise? All they know is the unpleasantness of having plumbing problems, and they can tell you all about THAT. But do they know how to fix the problems? No, or they wouldn't still be having them. And even more than that, they don't know how to preclude the problems, or they wouldn't have had them, right? So to ask such for advice is not good. Yet you will find those who fit that bill are very willing indeed to tell you that they know what they are talking about. Go figure. Do the math.
So why not go to the one who has no plumbing problems? And ask those who know them, for verification of this, for both a thief and an honest person will tell you that they don't steal, right? "By their fruits you will know them." Period.
Like in everything in life, go to the best to learn. Ignore the mediocre, except to see what not to be like and how not to do it. Flee the poor. This holds true no matter what it is about. If you don't know of anyone who fits the bill, then go to the best available -- and seek for better at the same time.
If you want to learn dancing, do you go to the klutz?
If you want to learn to cook, do you go to the one who always eats out?
If you want to learn about parenting, do you go to the ones who have children that do what you think is improper?
So when you ask for advice, on any of these threads, perhaps it would be wise to demand that the person giving their 2 bits worth first present to you their credentials as to why they qualify to respond. If they don't do this after you have asked, then ignore completely what they say. And you can even ask for references from them -- you don't know them from Adam, so how do you know if they are telling you the truth? Remeber the thief and the honest person!
May you find out what you're looking for.
