Difficulty making posts
« on: Thu Oct 13, 2016 - 17:25:19 »
I have this captcha thing before I can post, but most of the time it is very difficult to read.  Is this a standard thing?  It's hard to participate in conversations because the topic veers greatly before I can get a word in.  Anything that can be done about it?

Ok, part 2...the question...it says did not answer question correctly, but asks what is the opposite of truth...would that not be lie?

1) The captcha is temporary until one has a certain # of posts...to deter spammers n solicitors n such; everyone endures it early on.

2) I had the same issue, be sure you aren't using a capital letter if it requires lower case and vice versa; be sure spelling is correct, and be sure it is the correct wording...lol. It can be stubborn, I know.

3) Little can be done about topical trajectory...LOL. Admin/Mods will clean up the thread at some points to remove clutter, but with free will and proud hearts there is no fully controlling which way a thread will go. Best you can do is utilize the inefficient quoting system to highlight specific contributions you are replying to.

4) Welcome to the world of Christian forum, haha..the surest place to find stubborn hearts, fierce resistance and generally opinionated conversation...LOL! But in the end most of it is meant well and a lot of good support/encouragement is given.

I don't remember ever doing a captcha for this forum.  But, captchas usually have a button you can click on to get another captcha code, maybe one that's easier to read.

Maybe once, when I first registered.  Certainly not enough that it made an impression.

And sometimes an audio option.

Speaking as someone mostly clueless -- Would blocking "cookies" cause a problem such as the OP is experiencing?

Or maybe a corrupted browser cache?

Thank you, everyone, the issue seems to have fixed itself...I guess I hit the magic number?  I can see how that would keep bots and spammers out...to much work!  LOL
