JIM WILTSHIRE - choir director !
« on: Thu Apr 19, 2012 - 16:08:06 »

This is a track from our choir director !
Jim Wiltshire

Jim is a talented man , who works for the Lord......

He sings beautifully, and plays the horn.

And on top of this he goes to the sick and old age homes
and sings and spreads God's word.

And now he now has tracks , which I believe are just great.

I wonder if this man sleeps at all.

"LET’S ALL RECALL GOD’S GREAT FREE GIFT!

During the Christmas season, we spend much time thinking about the giving and receiving of gifts. But about 2000 years ago, God provided a FREE GIFT that is available ANY TIME to anyone who will believe it and accept it.

In fact, God wrote about it in His famous Book, The Holy Bible. On the next 3 pages are a few verses from that Holy Book about this incredible FREE GIFT as described by our
Apostle Paul:
Romans 5:15 ... so also is the FREE GIFT...by grace, which is by one man, JESUS CHRIST ... 18 For by the righteousness of One (Jesus Christ) the FREE GIFT came upon all men unto justification of life.

"8 WAYS TO INSULT GOD"

by Jim Wiltshire

Webster says an insult is "any gross affront or indignity offered to another either by words or actions." Rejection would be one form of insult. Is God a being with emotions and feelings that can be hurt or insulted?

What does the Bible say?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

(John 3:16)
"Seeing then that we have a great high priest... Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."

(Hebrews 4:14,15)

"Jesus wept."
(John 11:35)

"These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

(1) A proud look,

(2) a lying tongue, and

(3) hands that shed innocent blood, (4) an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, (5) feet that be swift in running to mischief,

(6) a false witness that speaketh lies, and (7) he that soweth discord among brethren.

(Proverbs 6:16)
"Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee..."

(I Samuel 15:23)
These few verses sufficiently demonstrate that God has emotions. Many more examples could be listed, but space does not allow them. There are many ways by which we might unintentionally offend or insult God. Here are just eight simple examples.

We insult God if we...

1. ...Believe that we must DO something ourselves to earn salvation--thus indicating that the death and shed blood of Jesus Christ was not a sufficient sacrifice.

The Bible says:

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
that...he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."

(Ephesians 3:4-9)
"Giving thanks unto the Father...who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins...having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself...you, that were sometime alienated and enemies...,
yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight..."

(Colossians 1:12-22)
2. ...Believe that we have a better plan for our life than God's plan. The Bible says:

"For we have not followed cleverly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ..."

(2 Peter 1:16-17)
"Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man..."

(Romans 1:19-23)
3. ...Believe that God's Word is not perfect.
The Bible says:
"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."

(Deuteronomy 4:2)
"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver is tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

(Psalms 12:7)
"Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."

(Proverbs 30:6)
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

(Matthew 24:35)
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

(Revelation 22:18,19)
NOTE: Either God preserved His Word or He didn't.
Which do you believe? Is there one English version that we can know is God's perfect Word today?

Part 2 to follow"

4. ...Believe that man's traditions are equal to God's Word.

The Bible says:
"But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?...thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition."

(Matthew 15:3,6)
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

(Colossians 2:8)
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptibile things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot."

(1 Peter 1:18,19)
NOTE: If you are trusting in a man-made religion's traditions, your faith is not in the finished work of Christ, is it?

5. ...Believe that God has a Mother. The Bible says:
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

(Genesis 1:1)
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
(Exodus 20:3)
"For by him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he (Jesus Christ) might have the preeminence."

(Colossians 1:16-18)
NOTE: The baby Jesus had a wonderful--albeit temporary-- earthly mother who was created by Jesus Christ Himself before He came to earth, but God certainly has NO mother.

6. ...Believe that dead saints can hear your prayers.
The Bible says: "Thou shalt have no other gods before thee...Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image...thou shalt not bow down to them...for the LORD thy God is a jealous God..."
(Exodus 20:3, 4)
"(Jesus said)...when thou prayest...pray to thy Father...But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do..."

(Matthew 6:6, 7)
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
(1 Timothy 2:5)
NOTE: Only God can hear a prayer because He alone is omniscient (knows all) and omnipresent (everywhere). The saints in heaven will never become like God. Saints don't become angels, either, as is commonly told in stories or seen in movies. Angels are specially created beings and can never experience salvation through Christ as we can (see Nehemiah

9:6;1 Corinthians 4:9; 6:3;13:1, etc...).
Praying to someone other than God is worshipping them instead of God.
7. ...Believe that an earthly man is "The Holy Father." The Bible says:
"These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come...Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are."
(John 17:1,11)
"And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."
(Matthew 23:9)
"Thou shalt have no other gods before thee." (Ex. 20:3)
NOTE: Giving a human being a title belonging to God alone is another form of worship.

8. ...Believe that sacraments of a church can save.
The Bible says:

"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. but now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested ...
even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe

...being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. ...

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. ...

But Israel...hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore?
Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law...
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."

(Romans 3:20-28; 4:4-6; 9:31,32; 11:6)

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, ... for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." (Galatians 2:16)
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us..."

(Titus 3:5)
NOTE: Anything we can do--from lifting our little finger to moving a mountain--is considered a "work" and no work can achieve anyone's salvation. Only FAITH in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary ALONE can save anyone in this present "Age of Grace." Please don't insult God by rejecting or adding to His plan of salvation.

This pamphlet will present a different perspective of the faith/works debate. This wonderful old concept can revolutionize Bible understanding and eliminate the confusion of the “faith + works = salvation

One very special verse from Paul gives us a simple KEY TO UNDERSTANDING THIS MARVELOUS BIBLE:
• 2Timothy 2:15 STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.

*** A general approach to the Scriptures places all the books of the Bible into natural and orderly groupings. The books of Genesis to Malachi are called the Old Testament and give us the history of God’s dealings with His special people, Israel, including His promises to send them the Messiah.
• Matthew through John complete those promises with the coming of the Messiah/Christ. Since Christ came to earth for the “house of Israel,

*** Here’s Paul’s unique GOSPEL OF GRACE:
•1Corinthians 15:1 ...brethren, I (Paul) declare unto you THE GOSPEL which I (Paul) preached unto you... 2 By which also ye are saved... 3 For I (Paul) delivered unto you first of all that which I (Paul) also received, how that **CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS**...was buried...and rose again...
• Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus...10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that BELIEVETH. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
• 2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new... 21 For HE hath made HIM to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
• Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified...
• Romans 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH on HIM that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
• Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to HIS mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which HE shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by HIS grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Those verses give us ASSURANCE that we have been SAVED BY FAITH ALONE."

Sadly, some want to claim that if we are saved by faith alone, we have a “license to sin.
