short little lesson (not a pastor yet, but I want to be)
« on: Sun Dec 21, 2008 - 23:01:27 »
After my 8th grade year, my Junior High Youth Group leader gave all of us former 8th graders a book that has helped me with my spiritual walk called Every Young Man's Battle.  After 6 weeks, I could resist the strongest of sexual temptations.  Then, this past June, Satan got through and I started to masturbate.  I did so at least once a week until last Saturday.  I've read some parts of Job and I realize the tough times that Job, a real person, went through for maintaining his faith with God.  Back to Saturday, Dec. 20th 2008, I woke up and took a shower (as I normally do) and I was singing some hymns in the shower.  I really wanted to get rid of this masturbating problem and God finally spoke through to me.  Once I got out of the shower, He told me, while I was naked, to get on both of my knees and raise my arms.  I thought He was crazy, but I did so anyways.  He then told me to say, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart."  You may recognize this as a verse from Job that Job himself used.  I said the verse and even though it's been 2 days, I haven't masturbated and my faith is stronger than ever.  I really praise Him for that miracle.

So, if we are ever going through a tough time, then the Bible is the Truth and if we speak the Truth, then God will lead us through the right path.  In other words, I feel that reciting verses that fit the problem help more a WHOLE bunch.  I hope some of you benefit from this lesson, please post a comment, and God bless.

Thank you for sharing that, ex cathedra.  I hope we can both benefit from this.
