Food long covid question
« on: Sat Sep 03, 2022 - 16:42:49 »
Ever since I had the long covid symptoms and the change in taste I find,

now that I am back to eating more.... I cant seem to eat most meat.

I will make it and by the time I go to put it in my mouth only a couple of bites and can eat no more.

I am not a big veggie lover....

So any suggestions?

Or Crunchy Cheetos and Snickers.

When my grandmother-in-law got into her advanced senior years, all she wanted to eat was Cheetos and Reese's peanut butter cups. That's all she wanted to eat and had no appetite for anything else. She said everything else either had no flavor or tasted bad. When family complained to her doctor, he said, "If I make it to 82, I'm going to live on nothing but Cheetos and Reese's cups and enjoy every minute of it!"  rofl

So lately, for several months, I have an intense craving for Cheetos and Snickers. Seriously, I could live on those things. I was eating a grilled ribeye the other night trying to build up my iron and kept thinking - Cheetos and Snickers would be better than this! Hopefully this isn't a sign of my demise? rofl

This also makes me wonder what the deal is about Cheetos and older people craving them. ???

Rella, our Fuhrer wants you to eat bugs.

Fauci says bugs are good for long covid, Ukraine, and stopping climate change.

My poor daddy will be 85 in a couple of weeks. He's very weak and fragile with kidney disease and congestive heart failure among other things. He wants to eat Baby Ruth candy bars and peanut butter sandwiches now. Most things he says doesn't taste good.
It's really not uncommon to lose our sense of taste or have changes in taste in our senior years.

Boo hoo.. Would that I could.

I dont like the taste of my once go to snacks any longer.

Not Cheetos, and not those formerly wonderful round yellow cheese balls. Threw a 1/2 tub of them away 2 weeks ago when
I just hated the way they now taste. (Though I did discover Chester's puffcorn  ::shrug::) Cant stand most potatoes chips anymore either.

But maybe I am not old enough yet to want those Cheetos again  rofl

Nope.. not me. Too much protein  rofl

But maybe I'll send Fauci a retirement gift in time for Thanksgiving....

A large container of mixed stink bugs and spotted lantern flys.  Along with a can of Hershey syrup and tell him to enjoy his
well earned dessert. ::laughinghisterically::

I just cannot even think of eating bugs just scares me badly if that will be the new menu. I guess I will have a short life span if that is the new food. Most when smashed are gooey could you imagine that in your mouth.

Our overlords won't be eating the bugs, though. Just us peons. They'll still eat Prime rib and lobster. In the same way they preach at us about our carbon footprint, yet travel the world in private jets and buying up seaside mansions even while telling the peons our energy usage is causing shorelines to recede. Just like Pete Butt-whatevers got chaperoned to work in a gas guzzler, but stopped a block away and hopped on a bicycle to peddle the last block - for show. Just like the law applies to us, but not to them.
And yet, many people out there will continue to give them that power and prestige while stuffing down roaches and beetles and sitting at home because they can't afford to go anywhere - crying out, "DADDY LOVE ME HARDER."

I just wrote the following to mommydi. (sorry I am sharing an email here mommydi)

And another weirdness with me.

If I am eating anything that has a odd crunch in a bite or
something unexpectedly chewy like gristle or such I cannot chew that
bite and I am done
