What does that mean to you? Heb 11:6
Note: He didn't say He is a rewarder of those that seek Him.
He didn't say He is a rewarder of those that obey Him.
He didn't say He is a rewarder of those that praise Him or honor Him or pray to Him or spread His Word or read His Word or anything else.
So what would it mean -does it mean to you to "diligently seek Him". What does "seek" mean to you. For that matter what does reward mean to you.
What does it mean to you -not what the Bible says about it -to you personally in your relationship with Him -up close and personal.
Even if you don't write anything - it's good to ponder it, yes? :)
Good thought-provoking post. Manna to you. I looked up "diligent" in Webster's dictionary. This is what I found:diligent
- from the Latin "diligens", from present participle of "diligere - to eteem, love.
To be "diligent" - characterized by a steady, earnest, and energetic effort.
The word "diligently" is an adverb, which shows action.
We are to diligently seek God - it is a steady, earnest and energetic effort on our part. We are seeking the One whom we esteem very highly and love with all our heart.
What a wonderful journey we are on! I am encouraged by the words in Hebrews 12:1-3 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before hiim endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds."
If we diligently seek Him, God will give us the strength we need to overcome any weariness we may experience in our Christian walk.
This post is very encouraging and thought-provoking for me as I have been battling a bit of depression for a while now.
