The facts we see in the natural, such as sickness! We have the authority of Christ to declare it null and void.

I have done this in my own life several times. I have developed the odd cold or sore throat and took authority over it in Christ and it disappeared. Looking to Christ our Healer, rather than the trouble is what this is about.

The facts may speak out that you are sick, but they lie---that is the natural speaking. We live in the supernatural as King's kids and we need to be reminded of that. The truth is that we can have divine health in Christ. His word speaks louder than anything else.

Pardon my saying so, but your idea doesn't seem to make any sense. I am supposed to take your recovery from a cold as a sign of Divine intervention?

Taking authority over  disease is what we are given to do. Many don't do it. What I said was a mere example---we can ward off the signs of sickness by our faith in Jesus' healing. When we don't do this, we are tacitly agreeing with the enemy, accepting sickness when we don't have to.

They did not die because they "focused on their wounds". This sophomoric handling of scripture is absurd at best. No where in that passage does it suggest such a thing. They died because "We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you. "v. 7. This abuse of scripture you are engaged in to prove a false doctrine is shameful and needs to come to an end.

What you see as the dark side is merely a difference in Bible interpretation. So many people are so quick to go right to saying that the dark side or devil is at work when in reality it's a difference in interpretation or belief.

If one did not look upon the serpent, they would die. That means they are focusing on the problem, not the thing that brings their healing...which represents Jesus Christ.

Eventually Israel elevated it to an idol.

2 Kings 18:4
He removed the pagan shrines, smashed the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke up the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because the people of Israel had been offering sacrifices to it. The bronze serpent was called Nehushtan.

I don't mind considering that we are dealing with a mere difference of interpretation, but the venom that has been generated without any provocation tells me there is a darkness to this opposition.

Seems people can't carry on a discussion but must jump immediately on something that is not completely understood, even though what is presented is a very small portion of the truth of the healing we have in Jesus Christ.

That should generate hope and joy.

Kind of reminds me of a joke I read once: A Man gets caught in a flash flood, and is trapped on the roof of a building. After a little while, a Coast Guard cutter comes along, and the Guards offer to evacuate him to safer ground; the man refuses, saying "God will save me. He's always taken care of me. I'll be saved." A little while later another cutter comes along, and then a US Army helicopter. Each time the man refuses to be rescued, saying "God will save me. I'll be fine." Lo and behold, the floodwaters rise and the man is drowned. He finds himself standing in front of Heaven's gate with an angel by his side. The man says "I'm confused; God has always taken care of me, and given me prosperity. Why didn't He even try to save me?" The angel turns around disgusted and snaps, "Dimwit! We sent you two boats and a helicopter!"

No one is healed by their will. It's God's will and His promise. It is for us as His children to appropriate it. We speak to our mountains and by our faith they move.
