Given what I know now, I wouldn't object to any of those you listed.  I don't necessarily have a favorite among them now.  I would have to wait to see what their campaigns produced.  I would always tend toward one who had shown themself to be a good leader and manager in a position such as governor.  Other government types may be good at their roles, but those roles do not typically demonstrate the leadership or management needed to be President of the United States.

BFF with Paul Ryan, and if anyone noticed, the only person close to Trump who was never harangued to death by media, deep state, investigations, Dems, alphabet agencies, etc. That is suspicious as you-know-what to me. For the longest time, I suspected him of being the infamous leaker.

I'm not a fan of Nikki Haley. She's a war hawk and she's not popular within pro-life circles. Yes, back home, she voted pro-life, but when she got to the U.N., she watered things down and pro-life advocates had to stay on her to get the smallest table scraps. 

There are things I like about Mike Pompeo, and things I don't - like his CIA background. It's hard for me to trust anyone who came out of the bowels of the CIA.

I don't know a thing about Youngkin. I've heard the name, but I seriously don't know who he is.

Are these the only ones to choose from??

If I had to choose from this list at this moment, I'd go with DeSantis, but I honestly don't think he has a chance to win the presidency, even if he won the primary. In fact, I don't think any GOP'r can win the presidency again. I'm not exaggerating. Democrats are tribal and cultish and will even vote for dead candidates, and stroke victims and dementia patients who never leave their basements. Plus, they cheat. Trump happened while they were all laughing. They've stepped up their game again, so a GOP'r won't win the presidency.

Jaime, what's concerning me about DeSantis - at the moment - is he has MSM, the Lincoln Project, and GOPe doing his bidding. He needs to step forward and clear this up - like yesterday. The longer he allows this, the more he turns me off. It comes off as smarmy that he just stands there, letting them go after Trump for him, without saying a word. Does he plan on letting them just do the dirty work on this? I'm serious - he needs to set this straight, and now.

i kinda think the thing supposedly between Trump and Desantis is not real. Why it's going on, I don't have a clue. Since I think Trump won't be running in 2024, it may be sort of a trial balloon to see how the media attacks a supposed non-orange front runner. This is something more than what went on in 2016 where Trump, one by one, viciously disemboweled all 16 or 17 of his opponents in the primaries in preparation for Crooked Hillary. Conventional wisdom is that it doesn't do Trump any good to attack Desantis now. But it might serve to get him in people's minds where without the Trump drama, not so much. Remember even CNN carried some of the Republican Debates possibly to highlight the buffoonery of Trump and as a result Trump got before a lot of people who might not otherwise have heard him and they liked him and what he had to say. it could just be orange man doing what orange man does.

Trump is not beyond manipulating the optics or the theatrics. Him being 78 in 2024 and what he has put his body through?! Whoa! I don't see it. Now I'm sure Brandon could again play the eyes glazed over puppet as long as he lives. He couldn't be much more incompetent than he already is or any more of a shock to the masses. Heck, Fetterman might get a bug up his butt to run for POTUS with him being the overnight super star candidate in PA with a four short sentence vocabulary! Even with his famous 180 on fracking.
 

As to a victory for Trump on election night, I think he had a tremendous victory as far as it depended on HIM. We still have a chance to gain control of both houses. Not bad for the candidates supported by an orange man that no one likes. While the GOP was duped into buying the huge Red Wave scenario. Awesome strategy by the way. Of either party the GOP is the one that would fall for the old no need to vote because it's going to be such a shellacking thing. Without him the country would have just ratified probably 40 more years of ensconced radical control of our pro-baby killing government, if we last that long. With the Republican tendency to seek perfect candidates and not go tribal like the Dems and ignore imbecile candidates to get control of one or both houses. Getting control of a house of congress for the GOP doesn't seem like a natural goal, it very much IS for the Dems. It is their ONLY goal. Just look at the Fetterman example. If OZ had campaigned as an Islamic Terrorist, he should have beaten Fetterman UNLESS extremely smart Democrats decided Hey, let's vote D and ignore who represents the D because if we control congress who cares about 1 Imbecile. The GOP looked at Fetterman and said, who could vote for that Buffoon? they didn't, they voted for the D. What the two-party system is ALL about unfortunately. I don't like it but if we are going to play, we better learn HOW to play. The power of committee control, and basically winner take all set up, the tally of Ds is all that counts vs the tally of R's, hugely flawed yes, but less flawed in the few times the GOP controls. Keeping the likes of Pelosi and Schumer out of leadership requires more discipline that simply supporting the most conservative candidates which is laudable but not an overall winning strategy in the two party system. It may not have been the Dems that elected Fetterman, it may have been the pure conservative or nothing Republicans staying home. As a result, we have a Bernie Sanders radical Senator who can't string sentences together while sporting a hoodie, who is against fracking, but 100% in agreement with fracking.

I don’t know Rella. I do know Trump loves to fuel speculation. I just believe this “rift” between Trump and Desantis is not real. Can’t say why but it makes no sense. Who knows? We shall see on the 15th. With all we’ve seen in the last couple of years, there seems to always be an underlying truth not readily visible. Think of all the flip flops  in reality since the onslaught of the Big Deflection - Covid. Has much of anything been as it should be or as we would normally expect? We just woke up in Bizarro World in early 2020. Or at least that’s my perception. Seemingly prepping us for the bizarrest election in history, and the. Bizarrest succeeding months in my lifetime. First Trump has not announced and a lot of people would say he is the bigger of the two. Remember how that ragged so bad on Trumps attacks from the moment he came down the escalator.

And now he is after DeSantis....

AND  AND yesterday it was said Trump is also now after Younkin.

If DeSantis comes back too early too many will say he is just another Trump and God Forbid we could end up with even worse then Pompeo WE COULD end up with Pence....

At midnight last noght the Senate count was 49 / 49.  Waiting on Nevada and Georgia.

So the Dems most likely ( pray I am wrong) will still control the Senate.

Personally I do not think that at the moment... until all are sworn in... is the time to start the 2024 shenanigans.

If Trump runs I will vote for him because his is the perfect personality that is needed for that job.

If he doesn't or he loses in a primary... then I am comfortable with either DeSantis or Youngkin
