"All have fallen short of God's glorious ideal" For those of us who seek to promulgaye blame, it is good for us to remember the "incident in the temple" tacked on to John's gospel, and how Jesus reacted tp the accusers of the woman caught in adultery. Let he who is without sin throw the first stone! It is interesting that when the woman's accusers slunk-off, the oldest first. it is interesting to note that when Jesus asked wher the condemnors had all gone[/color]Jesus said "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more!"
The "stench of our sin" must be vile to the Lord - but we do well not to be puffed-up with any supposed self-roghteousness - which smacks iof judgementalism!
I was disappointed with both Rella and Mommydi's attitude of "never fogiving" the much publicized transgressions of UK Royalty. Those transgressions haven't affected us personally, but are not "in keeping"
with our pleas in the Lord's Prayer!
On "a different tack" now - Re the Meghan and Harry business. I understand that Harry felt snubbed by finding that the shoulder flash with a crown symbol and A D C (for "aide de camp " indicating his status as a "King's Friend" - had been removed from his uniform, which he had been granted to wear for the occasion. The sovereign had died and had been replaced by Charles lll, and he is allowed to choose his own friends. So unthinking immature/puffed up Harry "threw his toys out if the pram"! It is good for us to have our pride punctured at times, for "Pride puffeth up!" - it helps us to "walk in humility woth our God! Am reminded of the old aphorism: "you can choose your friends, but not family!."
I remember an old cartoon showing a big woman and smaller man about to enter a church to be married. There are "thought bubbles over their heads - the man's contains the words"Aisle, altar, and hymn" - whereas her "bubble" contains "I'll alter him!". Sadly this seems to be the case of M&H". She seems to have succeeded in alienating him, or prising him away, from from his own country and kin . I wont "blams" the H.S. but the warning words "She is 'bad medecine", popped up in my thoughts. It would be interesting to know the basic reason behind M's first marriage failure!.
