I use Star Walk 2. I've been trying for the last year to get a long range shot of one of the Satellites, or the ISS in front of the Moon but no luck yet. Still pretty cool to watch it track across the sky.

You are welcome. These things are outrageously cool as compared to an individual satellite we all have seen for decades. It's kinda like viewing a UFO, but it's not unidentified.   ::smile:: There was supposed to one visible last night in our area, but too much cloud cover. Check out the guide in the OP for viewing in your particular area. It gives times, headings and angle above the horizon. I saw a video on line of two of these things crossing in the sky perpendicularly!

Naw... I wont check.... It wont be....

Anytime there is something to be seen we ARE overcast. Has been that way for 70 years that I know of.

But do appreciate the video

Was greeted with this:

Hi there, based on user reports, Starlink trains are not very visible right now.

This is because Starlink's company has reduced their brightness (to avoid disturbing astronomers): more details

But a few reports of successful sightings come in every day, so you can try your luck :) I'm working on predicting this better, sorry.

The next Starlink launch is planned in a few weeks, and will be very bright for 3-4 days after that. Good luck!

That's on the new ones. They are painting the new ones a darker color before launching.  I don't think there is a way to remedy the brightness of an existing Starlink chain. The one we saw the other night was bright. We didn't see the one last night because of clouds.
