why do Christians support Israel-???

The problem is that a lot of people think the people of Israel are forgotten by God. In no way are they forgotten.

Paul said in Romans 11:1  I ask then, did God reject his people? May it never be! For I also am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Of course they are not forgotten. All of Israel is being dealt with. It was declared by God through the Prophets. In Romans 9,10, & 11 Paul is citing alot of scripture here. The scripture Paul is citing clarifies the context of what Paul is talking about. Paul references Hosea specifically chapters 1 & 2, He also cites Isaiah, Moses, Ezekial, Kings, Jeremiah, Joel, Psalms.  Paul is also teaching how to study scripture, the importance of understanding scripture, how scripture defines scripture and pointing to the fulfillment of God's plan by compelling his audience to read & study the scriptures credited to Moses & the Prophets.

Paul is teaching a mystery that is revealed and proven by the study of scripture.

The scriptures show Paul is talking about the curse & promised restoration of the two kingdoms, "all of Israel". Paul declares he is a Benjamite, one of the tribes of "all of Isreal". Why the salvation by the "election of grace" for "all of Israel" is connected to the "fullness of the gentiles".

Paul knew where Judah, Benjamin, partial Levi, the Jews, the kingdom of Judah, the remant of 7000 spoken of in Isaiah, was. Paul also knew where Epharaim & Mannasseh(Joseph), Rueben, Simeon, Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, remaining Levi, the kingdom of Israel were as well. They had been cursed, cut off, scattered among the nations, the ethnos, the gentiles for a purpose. God promised to redeem them and that they would be called by a new name, "sons of God".

This is why their curse has become a blessing to the gentiles, the ethnos, the nations. The rest of Israel (Epharaim & Mannasseh(Joseph), Rueben, Simeon, Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, remaing Levi), is among the ethnos, the natons, the gentiles. As the gentiles, the ethnos, the nations recieve Christ ,the"gospel of grace", so does "all of Israel". Their curse & promised redemption becomes the blessing of the entire world through Christ!

I was asking of John1010 about the blood (the blood we have in our bodies) if a person is saved because of his/her bloodline how much of that blood does one need to be Jewish? 

No matter what physical blood one has in their veins - Jew or Gentile, it still requires repentance and the shed blood of Jesus to cover their sins, and to be "born again of the Spirit" to be able to enter into the kingdom of God (John 1:5). 

When God saves the Jews in Rom 11, it will be through the blood of Jesus, not through their Jewish blood.

Conveniently overlooked by those who insist only in Palestinian justice are these facts:

(1)  The Jews lived in and occupied the land of Israel much of the time from the time of Abraham to the dispora of the Jews in 70 AD, with Jerusalem as it's capital.

(2)  About 726,000 Arabs fled or were driven out of Israel and became refugees in neighboring Arab countries.  The conflict created about as many Jewish refugees from Arab countries, many of whom were stripped of their property, rights and nationality, but Israel has not pursued claims on behalf of these refugees.

(3)  A far larger number of Jews left the Arab and Muslim countries, due directly to the conflict, or to persecution of Jews in Arab and Muslim countries which intensified as a result of the conflict.

(4)  The Palestinians declare this:  "Unless Jerusalem will be Palestinian, as it was throughout history, the capital of the Palestinian state and the capital of the Palestinian people, the place which is the object of heartfelt longing and which all Muslims aspire to reach; unless Jerusalem is like that way, there is no peace. There is no peace without Jerusalem. There is no stability without Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:1-3 declares,

The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens,  lays the foundation of the earth, and  forms the spirit of man within him,  "Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around ; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah.  It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it."

Why do Christians support Israel?

Because we are the ones who are commanced to pray and work for the peace of Jerusalem (Psa 122:6) until Jesus comes as the Prince of Peace, not try to figure out more and more ways why the Jews don't beling there!

The Israelis have no biblical standing for this last invasion. They claim that they have a biblical birthright to Samaria which they now say is the West Bank.

This is their excuse for the invasion and the occupation of the West Bank. I must say it is all bunk. They have no birthright claims to Jerusalem or the West Bank, period.
