I hate birthdays, and I am not even that old, but, then I am not as young as I was on the 19th of November. I think, it bothers me most seeing loved ones get older, does that make sense? Mortality, for everyone I love, and it makes me sad.

Ms light:

Well, for the believer it's a stage nearer heaven...

(But anyway, ladies especially might do sth special to feel younger. (Change of hair color, or streaks, or extra ear studs put in, etc, etc...)

John 3.16 contains great theology, without doubt.

Read God's Word prayerfully every day; it's a joy and privilege.

If folks feel they must have TATTOOS, have you considered having faith related designs tattooed?

(And try vacationing in the South: plenty of sun, and some great churches down there!)

Well, my wife - bless her - dyes her hair a reddish brown, and so do many other Godly ladies...

Take care.

Ms light:

Enough hair color, ear stud etc already, right...

(As for a birthday tattoo parlor visit, you probably don't like needles...)

Take care.

I think those things help Mr. F, but I also thing on the inside, doing something you have never done before, like be in a community play, or take a painting class, or learn scuba diving, or a dance class. Something you have to push yourself to do, something that does not come easy for you. Somebody take the poll. (please)

Good grief brother, can't you pass an opportunity to turn a thread into a earring and tattoo discussion?

I said 60 in the poll, which I am very close to.  Although I'm in pretty good condition and I don't think I look a day over 50(-ish), I feel that 60 is a benchmark to people which says that you are now, officially, Old!  I am frustrated that people look at the (slightly) aging outer "me" and don't bother to meet the younger, "inner" me.  That said, I do enjoy the occassional bouts of wisdom I experience.  Cool
