Larry2 - She only had one earring in each ear, and having gone off to college I was just kidding her as becoming part of the world. She though didn't realize I was referring to the earrings, and assumed I knew something I didn't. I would not have criticized her if she had fish hooks in her eyebrows, but I do not see where there is a difference in body piercing one part of the body than another. A mother may jump on her daughter about a tongue ring, and have earrings.  I don't know, what do you think?

farouk - So you don't even like/approve of ladies having even one earring in each ear?

(Just wondered what you meant, that's all.)

Take care.

I don't care if they wear a bone in their nose, and that also was an attraction in certain parts of the world at one time, and may still be.

My whole point is that I do not see a difference in a young person selecting certain jewelry such as a tongue ring, or one that chooses pierced earrings; they both think it makes them more attractive to someone.

To me it has absolutely nothing to do with our being saved, and as we grow in Christ I believe most lay those different things aside. I know I certainly would not wear a tattoo any longer if I could afford to have it effectively removed. I've even had brethren that once loved to wear heavy gold chains of great cost, and earrings also, but most over the years no longer do that. I've seen many men that prided themselves with their long hair to start with finally cut it off. I just think many such things are indicators of Christian growth; not whether they are Chriatians

Just my thoughts in Jesus' name - larry2

Nothing is off limits to pierce.

Look for the lad with a 3/4 inch PVC pipe right through his abdomen, capped on one end, the other end with a 90.

His shirts are custom made......

Oh, my goodness, now piercings are ones own business. Hey Guy's the Holy Spirit does not need JR. Helpers. This falls under just being nosy, and a busybodies, and judgemental. Lord knows the church deacon may have some hidden piercings, that you may never know about. ( hopefully) Maybe the pastor even has some hidden piercings places, you would rather not thinkabout. You just might be surprised.

NOPE....and that is all I am permitted to say on that matter. I have been sworn to secrecy about such things as jacob's ladders, nipple rings and the like.

But I can promise you...the guys who get the Jacob's ladders...well, they need all the help they can get from what I hear.  Pondering

Ms l:

But I think I guess correctly that yours are merely very conservative piercings: i.e., ears.

Take care.

Yeah you busy bodies, there is nothing wrong with body piercing. You too can dress up for church. If you're wearing pierced earrings, the following examples are upgrades for you to show off. Then you could really get beautiful with tatoos added to that.

Enjoy - You'll be a hit in every pulpit.

Hi, Larry:

I think you don't like to make a distinction between ear piercing -widely regarded as tasteful - and the more weird piercings which you identify.

Fact is, the Lord gave earrings (and even a nose ring) to Zion in Ezekiel 16.12.

Take care.

Dear Brother farouk, and I'm taking it that you don't believe those examples, or links I left are what the Lord gave Israel? And if not why? They are very acceptable to some.  Then they are only acceptable to some; I would nearly lay odds they are not popular with the Amish.  Smile

I truly do not critize any who wear earring, nose rings, have tattoos, etc. I merely attempt to get others who do critize them to realize that they do the same things. I have a dear friend who was the strongest man in all football when he still played, and he wears two earrings. If there is any wrong with it, it is God that will reprove them; not me. As far as I go, God has not told me to wear earrings even in dreams. I do not know why others wear them.

OK, Mr. F, yes ears only, but do not get prideful (LOL). I just do not judge people that have piercings though. I listen to Christan Music artist that have many of them, but are anointed of God.  In essentials unity, in non essentials liberty, and in all things charity.

Ms l:

Oh sorry, yes.

What I meant by my last post was, you have 2 in each ear do you?

(I realized that you don't want any, anywhere else apart from ears. Or a tattoo, either.)

Take care.
