Ms light:

So when you say short blonde, do you mean shortish, or really razor short blonde, with just a few spikes left in? I guess you prefer long blonde, rather than considering doing what she has done with hers.

Sounds like she has a lot of jewelry, anyway.

Ms light:

So how high are they? you seem to like them a lot, anyway.

(So she's into jewelry, is she?)

Take care.

Ms light:

But maybe Auntie C wears high stilettos herself? and though, if she does, you could pull it off too? (Pity she didn't ask you first, anyway.)

I have five pair, never worn them though. Tried them on, and they make legs look a mile long, but wearing them all day long, my feet Crying and sad. Auntie C. from Dallas bought them for me. Beautiful 500.00 shoes, that set in the boxes on closet.

She used to. I actually call her aunt bling, bling, she is a piece of work. Maybe I will wear them, but, they are really, really classy shoes.

I will go look on box F. yes about jewelry, she has her own personal jeweler, who designs it. She wears so much, I am afraid we will be robbed, but funny, she looks stunning, where others might not. her hair is very, short, spikey, and blonde.

Mr. Farouk..

You are so detailed and curious..

You have thrown me off.

Im not flirting but I think you are adorable.

There is something about you.

You seem "innocent".

Love

Dallas

Ms dallas:

Well, like I said, my wife's is kept chopped up to her collar, maybe a lot shorter than yours; maybe you wouldn't ever consider chopping it like hers.

Take care.

If folks feel they must have TATTOOS, have you considered having faith related designs tattooed?

Auntie C is razor short blonde. I have cut my hair the other day, it shorter, but not short. I could not pull off really short hair like auntie C. Love Jewelry is not the word, totally obsessed. Dallas, I wear more 7, than 7and a half, but Aunt, made mistake, though a half size no big deal. more (hugs)

Ms light:

I see; hers is reeeally short.

Re. the jewelry, sounds like she's not content with 1 ring in each ear, either.

(Don't be surprised if next b-day she sends rings instead of heels...)

Take care.

On her for sure, she never looks bad, or overdone even with false eyelashes, and she has her lips tattooed, and the same with liner on eyes.

Oh I see, you prefer to have just the 1 each side, then.

But don't be surprised if Auntie Bling keeps sending you more bling, anyway.

Take care.

Ms dallas:

Maybe it can be said that they might be classy for the wearer, period...

(Of course some types of women might wear them for other reasons, but anyway.)

Like you say, maybe starting to repeat ourselves...

Ms ch:

I see what you mean.

Often they are in a sober color, of course, and might be worn even by spinster older, churchgoing ladies, etc I'm not sure there is a direct corelation between heel height and the 'come and get me' scenario that you mention.

Actually I was quite amused recently when I was reading a book. There was a married couple in the book and a friend of the lady often wore red stilettos. The husband described them in a very rude way (far too rude to write here), but in polite language you could translate what he said about her shoes as "here I am, come and get me" shoes.
I can sort of see where he is coming from. After all, you cant really miss a lady walking along wearing a pair of red stilletos can you.

I agree..most of my high heels were black.

I get the feeling this is going nowhere fast. This converation. Its going to end up being you are some sort of tramp if you where high healed shoes.(especially if they are red). You are saying "come hither" .

Oh my..whatever.

Love

Dallas

Yep..

I agree..

Nice pretty shoes that are classy and attractive is no DIFFERENT than a nice pretty dress and maybe your hair fixed .

How many women who woud say that "red stilletos" are saying "come and get me " will spray themselves down with perfume before they leave the house?Or have their hair choppped and dyed?

I guess we as "women" if we arent saying "come and get me " have to wear a hijab".

Love

Dallas

Well that always gets mentioned when this sort of topic comes up.(that maybe all women need to be totally covered up)lol.
I just feel that if we are told to dress modestly and not to draw attention to ourselves then why do we do certain things and wear certain things? The thing in Paul's day was that women were wearing too much jewellery and elaborately braiding their hair. The things today are different. but still the principles are the same.
Its just something that I feel God has been speaking to me about in the last few years so I have become more aware of what we women wear and why we wear them.

I think what I have tried to ask myself is "is what I am wearing or want to wear drawing attention to myself or not?"It what I am wearing modest?"

I actually dress casually but fairly modestly. I don't wear make up or nail varnish and only earrings that are small and an occasional necklace or bracelet, but again they will be unassuming. That's just what I feel God wants me to do and my husband likes it that I am modest.. He has also changed. he used to like women with lots of make up and women who dressed up a lot, but he prefers that women don't do those things now and just look natural, and look the way that God made them to look. After all when it comes down to it, the only attention that I want is from my  husband. I have no interest in anyone elses attention.

I also wonder if it is a difference between Americans and The British. I have loads of lovely women friends who are Christians and none of them wear high heels, make up or too much jewellery. My church is lively and charismatic but the women seem to all dress fairly casually and modestly.Generally we are not a church where the women dress up for church, but just wear normal clothes.I like it that way, it is refreshing .

Just my thoughts and opinions..

Chosen the Brits have beautiful skin, maybe not much makeup is required. I dress modest, but, like jewelry, but not like auntie C,, or my dear Auntie A, who is with the Lord. I do wear makeup, base, eyeshadow, powder, lipstick, like clear nails done with french tips. I have very small thin hands, and it has to be subtle ( the nails). I think I do it with subtle class. My Auntie A, who is with the Lord left me much expensive Jewelry, I opened one box, and 400 dollar earrings, that had never been worn. I never buy expensive jewelry, my aunties give it to me. I dress, covered, and the more plain I am sometimes the more people give compliments. I do like bling, and I feel I have good taste. Simple elegance is what I would say, is my style. I think that is what Paul was getting at, and in comparison to proverbs 31 woman. Everyone has different styles, and women are all beautiful.

I don't know about the Brits having beautiful skin lol Maybe its because we get so much rain and cloudy days, so the sun doesn't damage our skin. Smile
I am blessed with great skin, as my mums side are all the same. I have 2 aunties, one late 70's and one late 80's, and neither of them have many wrinkles.Neither wear make up either(or ever have as far as I know). I am 53 and have barely a wrinkle except for a few small 'laughter lines' around my eyes.I also have no cellulite, stretch marks etc also due to the good skin in my family. Mind you I also don't like sitting in the sun so that may help.
I do have many friends with lots of wrinkles though so it isn't a British thing I don't think.

Tha last time I wore a bit of make up was to my nephews wedding which was March 2008 lol. The next time I wear any will probably be my sons wedding which will be in about a year. I just  don't think putting that stuff on does the skin any good. What do you think? We are always getting reports here about the harm that some of these things can do when they are absorbed by the skin and what with all the removing creams as well, I do wonder if we are doing more harm than good.
Maybe that is partly why I have good skin as I don't wear it?Also I couldnt justify spending ages every day putting it all on and taking it all off. I think I am blessed to have a husband who likes me as I am. I have heard of people who wont go out of the house without putting make up on and that is sad I think.

I do think that the Americans as a rule are more concerned with looks and image and have loads more plastic surgery, and wear more  make up etc etc. At least that is my observation.
My mum didn't wear it and none of my friends do either. One of my daughters doesn't wear any and one does sometimes but certainly not every day.
