Watch this video and tell me if you think it's blasphemey or actually makes a good point. While I doubt they entirely meant to, I can see it making a very good point. And it's kind of funny too.

I admit I thought it was funny and had a point to it (even if it wasn't intended to).

Yeah, I liked it.  One of those things interweaving some straight Bible truth with Pop Culture, so as to make some points and get people's attention.

And frankly, the way the disciples and other followers acted sometimes, I bet Jesus was plenty irritated with  a lot of people's inability to "get it".

I thought it was sad that such glorious news was down played to a joke. That is what is wrong with the world today. The good news is laughed at and poked fun at. It was such a sad thing to have to sit through. Sorry but you asked. Gods word has enough attacks on it with out having to make sad belittling videos to down rate it.

I saw this when it first aired on MadTV, and have watched it a few times since. I admit, I am torn on this one. But what I am not torn on is the ending. The final one-liner, "don't worry, he'll be back", surely caused many to think between the giggles.

I think I would have once been more bothered by this than I am now.  It does have a couple of positive points... such as that the Terminator not being able to stop/thwart what was going to take place.  His trying to protect Jesus reminded somewhat of Peter, not understanding this was the plan all along.

But, I suspect the reason why people might be offended by this is the casual way it handles something that is sacred... since it plays a little fast and loose with the Jesus story for a few laughs, especially in a venue like MadTV.

I didn't like it at all and didn't think it was at all funny. I would like to know where he got the shotgun since he couldn't carry it with him through time. I have to agree that Jesus' death was made to look like a joke. The canned laughter turned the whole thing into a sitcom.

I don't have a tolerance for something that I think might be making fun of Jesus, but this just doesn't seem to be anti-Jesus. Jesus stands His ground. Even says that He "must die for the sins of mankind." Finally, Arnold (The Terminator) actually gets it and says, "Don't worry, He'll be back!"

And to be honest with you, I've imagined going back in time to defend Jesus. To take out the Roman guards who come to get Him. To take out Judas so that he can't betray Jesus. But even in this little spoof, Jesus fulfills His mission and The Terminator of all characters, says He will raise from the dead.

I'm not seeing the problem.

Yes, being a fan of Arnold, I can see some satirical humor in this.  And it is sad that there are teens and young adults who are programmed in the Terminator genre mindset that this may actually be something that might make them think for a moment.  It was done for satrical entertainment but it could be turned into a teaching aid just as several other longer, more involved films and productions such as Matrix, Andy Griffith, etc.  It's not for the traditionalist/conservative, IMO, because I think alot of them will see it as blaphemous or sick humor but I do see it as having a possible connecting point with the teens and young adults who are into the gaming/video scene of the Terminator genre.  And it does drive home several theological points!

How was he portrayed as weak in dealing with the Terminator, JAIA?  Are you saying He should have... what?  Killed him?  How else do you stop a Terminator?  Only two ways to do it -- either destroy him, or else win him to your cause when he finally "gets it".
