   Greetings Brethren!

   My name is Steve and am excited to be here. ::tippinghat:: I've been a believer in Christ,( i.e., in Who He is: "God in flesh", and what He did for me: "that Christ died for me , was buried, and rose again the third day for my complete justification) since 1994 and have experienced denominationalism to its fullest.

   So, by way of introduction, my sole desire for members of the Body of Christ is to come into a real unity of the faith with a full assurance of understanding of what we believe and why we believe it.

   Please don't misunderstand me, for I don't agree with a superficial unity of the faith where 'we agree to disagree'. The true unity of the faith is established in "rightly dividing the word of truth" which is true hermeneutic drawn out in Bible synthesis. I don't believe in truth as I see it, but rather in truth as God said it. And I believe and know that God has the answer in His word concerning the division among us and how to combat denominationalism in light of God's revealed will in His word. I hope that all will exercise patience and self control in the spirit of humility and love ;

   "And the servant of the Lord must not strive ; but be gentile unto all, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will" (2Tim.2:24-26). ::amen!::

   Question: If a member of the Body of Christ said that he had a Scriptural answer to denominationalism, why it exists, and a real cure to bring us back to a real unity of the faith; wouldn't you want to at least hear him out? Oh yes! Be prepared to have your toes stepped on concerning your traditional beliefs. All I ask is that all loving rebuke must come from the word.

   In His Grace,

   SteveA
