Help with a Writing Project
« on: Sat Jan 23, 2010 - 18:31:35 »
I am looking for someone to help with a writing project of mine.  It is just a small, temporary job, so the pay would be minimal...

I prefer someone who has been posting here for awhile...

Anyone?  ::smile::

I just saw this. I thought you might want help with proofreading it. If you are doing a Jesus thing or if it would just be helping a Jesus sister and I had the time and technology, being blessed to do it would be all the pay I could ask ::smile::

Hi comfy,

I just found this...Do you have the time and technology?  I really could use help!!!  I just got finished writing a book proposal for my book "Jesus, Beautiful God of Our Seasons". It is a devotional book directed towards the woman reader.  The agency I am working with will be going over it and then consulting with me in two weeks.

After than, I need to finish some editing and write a few more devotionals to complete it.  I also need to get set-up with "Wordpress" -I don't know how to do that.  I plan on getting involved at Facebook and elsewhere to build my platform.  I have joined a group there called "A Jesus Manifesto" which I found through this forum  ::smile::

And, I have another book in the works right behind it.  It is a book of my journaling through my recent divorce.  I am also including 3 others, journies.  Two have agreed; I still need to ask one.  I need help with gathering their blogs together and sending them to me.

I have gotten really busy lately with this book publishing thing; something I really never intended.  I was very happy with posting my writings online for free.  But then Jesus kept whispering to me "Gather up all the fragments that nothing be lost" (what He said at the miraculous feeding) and I knew then He wanted me to put together a  ::reading::

I think the first thing  I would want help with is getting set up with wordpress and learning how to do it or having someone else post my blogs  ::smile::

Still interested?  I threw alot at you  rofl

Most of all, for anyone reading this, please pray!

Here is a tenative overview of the book...subject to professional advice...

Overview

Authentic, vibrant Christianity turns on the inner experience of the seeking soul.  It hinges on man’s felt needs and longings and, if the soul is indeed a Christian, his felt expectancy.  There lies within, a yearning for something more and that something more is God.

This collection of devotionals is a treasure-house of precious jewels that will take the reader to the tender, sweet heart of God.  It is the result of the author’s desperate seeking through sorrow and pain, loss and fear to gradually come to know the God she thought she knew, but did not.

The reader will thrill to find Jesus on every page and be led to discover the ways of God which they may never have known.  They will be led to see Jesus through the experiences of others in the Gospels and in the author’s own life and, in so doing, they will find Him in a richer, deeper and more joyful way in their own life.  They will find the Jesus who delights to meet us at our every need.

Through one dark night of the soul after another, the author has been held in the mighty hand of God, while the Holy Spirit continued to prompt her to seek Him.  Against all odds, the grace of God has kept her as her perception of Him changed from a harsh, demanding God to one full of tender-mercy and love.

Perhaps no writing can express more adequately what she longs for the reader to understand as this poem written by an anonymous writer.  For the poem best expresses the message of her book that, it is through sorrow, suffering and trial that one learns the most of the beauties of our holy God.

THE THORN

I stood a mendicant of God
Before His royal throne,
And begged Him for
One priceless gift,
Which I would call my own.

I took the gift from out His hand
But as I would depart,
I cried, “But Lord, this is a thorn
And it has pierced my heart!
This is a strange and hurtful gift
Which Thou hast given me.
