read there beliefs
instead of seeing Jesus grace and truth Hi's saving work in baptism they make  JESUS a law giver.

a "you gota" believe first------- law giver.

is Jesus a SUPER law giver?  This is not just a baptist fault it is a fault common to man
even lutherans .A  Jesus says 'you' gotta do

DOES Jesus  COMMAND  BAPTISM AS A LAW HIS BELIEVERS SHOULD or must DO ?

or is it his wonderful Gospel invitation of his LOVING grace TO BELIEVE or strengthen belief IN his saving truth ABOUT HIMSELF?

for God so loved the world he sent his only Son that whosoever believes in him shall not parrish but have everlasting life.-------- John 3:16
than " whosoever surly meaneth -----infants to"

when ever any christian  look at what Jesus institutes be it reading his Holy Gospel word or looking at his word in  holy baptism or His holy supper .

this is the crystall clear verse all Christians should look through when we look at things Jesus instituted ..
if we do that.  We see baptism is his means of Grace and that Jesus is not a law giver----- He is our Savior from sin.

John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:19-21
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

so next time you read a verse about baptism how it clothes us with Christ or saves us . You can take that verse at face value

because you have set it to the test

of Gods word.

John 1:16-18
16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only,[a]who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

So yes JESUS instructs us to baptize not because he is taking moses place as a super sorta law giver . He commands baptism  for his saving gospel pupose!  not for the purpose of  the law that shows our sin's and that we truly deserve hell.

Baptism is so full of Jesus grace, his truth as being our savior.  That sets us free from hell death and the devil .
as Luther said heaven and earth can not understand it.

if human reason could grasp THE TRUTH OF SCRIPTURE   coud grasp  true faith in Jesus  there would be no use of--- God The Holy Spirit.
Yet because it is God that works faith -----even a rebelious oldster can also be converted  believe and be saved or have his faith strengthened .How much greater a miracle of God that is,  than  infant  faith  !
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE ANGELS MARVEL at Jesus grace that offers Hi's gospel invitation presented in baptism to us unholy sinners no less.

and earth See's baptism as a requirement a law Jesus gave that they must do.

Lets be more like the angels and marvel at Gods saving grace in Jesus in our baptism's .

Count me among the mightiest of sinner's,
for One must bear real and true sins to be saved. God does not save imaginary sinner's. So let your sins be strong but your faith in Jesus ,his blood bought forgiveness for your sin's ---be stronger still.
