they down load fast even on my older dell computer and dialup connection.

a little snippet  of what wrriten in the first article that deals with higher and lower criticism ."

"""When Luther said that he read the Bible historically, he meant that he believed that what was recorded in the Bible was real, true, accurate history, that people like Adam and Eve, Jonah and Abraham had really lived on this earth and that what the Bible tells us about them really happened."

Count me among the mightiest of sinner's,
for One must bear real and true sins to be saved. God does not save imaginary sinner's. So let your sins be strong but your faith in Jesus ,his blood bought forgiveness for your sin's ---be stronger still.

yes -----------------and as Luther said what the bible said about these real people happened .

why not down load the first article and read it . elca has fallen away from biblical teaching because of higher criticism

Christ evangelical lutheran church is a member of the wels synod  not  the elca. synod

Can be confusing even to life long lutherans ----i know  . Because of simular names

So did Jesus according to the Gospels, so I guess I don't see your point.

I thought you were making a point from the excerpt you quoted in your OP. Sorry but I am not really interested in reading all the publications to try and decipher the point of your post. Although you could be courteous and just make your point instead of just elusively pointing at the ELCA website. I am more than familiar with Lutheran views of Scripture, so either you are a critic or in agreement with a literal view of the event of the OT.

i never pointed any one to a elca website .

your welcome to read or not read the publication at the wels church web site i gave and wrriten by a confessional lutheran pastor who views all  the bible as Gods inerrant infallable word.
or we would get rid of him.

My son goes to a WELS congregation, and all the pastors there believe and teach Bible infallibility.

Thats wonderful to hear about your sons wels church .

Tell your son to always be on Guard that His wels pastors continue to do so .
So that his children and grandchildren  will also have that same opportuity .

"I walk in danger all the way,
The thought shall never leave me,
That Satan, who has marked his prey,
Is plotting to deceive me.
This foe with hidden snares,
May seize me unawares.
If e'er I fail to watch and pray;
I walk in danger all the way."

You should be able to open RTF files in most word processor programs like Microsoft Word, etc.  If you're in Windows, you should even be able to open it in WordPad.

I just downloaded one, and I can open and read it.  If you can't open it directly from the link, then try saving it to disk and then open it there.

Ah... can't help you there then.

But, I would think a rich text file (which is what an RTF is) could be opened by whatever word processing applications are available, even on a Mac.  RTF is a fairly universal file type, I thought.

Try choosing the "Save File" option there (below "Open with").  It should allow you to save the file to disk.

Then, you could try opening it with something... but, I'm not familiar with Macs.
