Just reading a description of their worship format (http://www.cahabavalley.org/Worship_at_CV.htm) makes me want to visit, if I were ever in the area.

A cappella liberals though.  I appreciate a congregation that can break the traditional CofC mold on some things to enhance the worship experience, while maintaining vocal-only worship.

(Not that there's anything wrong with IM  ::lookaround::)

Would most CoC's even recognize this church as a CoC?

That depends on what you mean by "recognize as a CoC"...

I figure maybe about half would, maybe a little under that (but, that may depend on whether you're considering the total number of CofC adherents versus the total number of individual congregations regardless of size... that could make a big difference in what you mean by "most CoC's").

I read their statement of faith.  They sound like the CofC to me. Although the term pastor is reserved for those who serve as elders.  Scripture does make a distinction between pastors and an evangelist.

Elder is what someone is. Overseer or pastor is more descriptive of what someone does, and more particularly, how they serve. As far as Scripture making a distinction between pastors and an evangelist, would you say that when the Scriptures use the term evangelist, they have a paid pulpit preacher in mind?

I don't see an evangelist as a paid located preacher that preaches to the choir so to speak.
