I think one reason I was viewing it with a critical eye is that I talked my hubby into going to it.  Just when it was time to go see the movie, he said he didn't want to go.  In those types of situations, I tend to judge movies harshly, because I want him to like it but fear he won't. 
He did like it.  He did, however,  insist on leaving before the ending, but that is sort of typical for him.  Once he thinks the movie is about to end, he NEEDS to leave the theater.   I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD before I can see if I missed anything at the end.
The theater we went to see it is was brand new, with high back semi-reclining chairs.  Very comfy.

This movie is awesome...every married couple needs to see it. Anyone thinking of marring needs to see it.

One of my married daughters and her husband has seen it and they loved it.I really want my other daughter to see it because some of the issues really apply to them. My wife and I are going to keep the grandkids for them so they can see it at the earliest opportunity.

Has anyone seen the movie Fire Proof??? ??? If so, what was your opinion... I've seen Flywheel and Facing the Giants, but I have yet to see Fire Proof.. I've heard it's really good..

We went to see it, but it was sold out.. Hopefully we can see it very soon... Let's believe that Hollywood will see the outcome of this movie and make more good family movies..

My husband & I saw Fireproof the day after it started playing at the movies. We both really enjoyed it. I think its awesome because it has serious parts & funny parts.  I would love to see more movies like this.

I have heard it was a really good movie.  I missed the chance to see it in theaters but Im deffinately going to pick it up on DVD when it comes out.  You can check some peoples reviews on youtube.

I am not sure that this is the correct place to discuss this but I am new to this forum and have to start somewhere.  My wife rented Fireproof and we were tried to watch it on Valentines day.  But it was really bad.  The acting was second rate, the character development was non existent.  Almost everything was cheesy and how shall I say overtly Christian.
Are we not called to a higher standard?  Can't we do better than hollywood?  Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Sorry, I posted this in the TV forum, not realizing their was a) a movie review forum and b) not realizing  it was already a thread.
