Usually I dig stuff like this, but this study didn't add any new insight, it just confirmed what was known.  We already knew that there was a steady stream of immigrants from the Hurrian-speaking countries to the north of them, as the farmland there withered up from the 17th century BC onward.

Also, I don't think Tel Megiddo was the best place for this study.  The site was an oft-conquered oasis on the King's Highway.  The population there would hardly have been representative of the average Canaanite.
