On Wednesday, January 18, the Church of England announced that its clergy would supply an apology letter to the LGBTQ+ community for the church’s “rejection, exclusion and hostility” of them in recent decades. The press release also outlined how it would soon publish a new version of its “Issues in Human Sexuality” the church has been using since 1991.

While the church emphasized LGBTQ+ couples can still not get married in the Church of England, it would allow a service with “prayers of dedication, thanksgiving or for God’s blessing on the couple in church following a civil marriage or partnership.”

Guess they have to do this as their head is quite the adulterer and well as the queen consort... going back several years.

I suspect that will not sit well with any Church of England/Anglican congregations outside of Great Britain itself. Elsewhere in the world, CoE is a quite conservative bunch.

Not very conservative here either, but very conservative in Africa.

This is hardly an issue that is unique to the CoE.

Even formerly very conservative congregations like the SBC are having issues with sexual abuse and the creeping in of woke ideology at the expense of the gospel.
