The smaller, independent funeral homes, when they’re dealing with COVID, the next thing you know, their entire staff has it. And they pretty much have to take the phone off the hook, lock doors and shut down because they don’t have anybody to run the place.  ::frown::

So, we’ve got a lot of embalmers who are traveling around from place to place, just trying to help out everybody who has shortages ― just to keep the doors open and keep serving the public.

Little Poopsie.... you have not seen me in a real frenzy. Not over covid.  For me  ::eatingpopcorn: ::eatingpopcorn: ::eatingpopcorn:

But what does have me upset  I have to go to the chiropractor this afternoon and it will hurt. Visit 4 out of 24. Razor blade moving in my spine. expletive  ::tippinghat::On the plus side... Do not need a mask or a vax.

I just did not know ... Covid does not die when a body dies?

The thing is here to stay unless we start burning corpses as they did under the plague.

And

The posts about the couples dying close together and leaving children I find sad. BUT for this kids might be a good thing if the parents were not good ones.

I'm telling you, funeral homes are making some money during this pandemic.

Speaking of...

One of the local funeral home chains started a kind of humorous campaign which is a bit odd, but nice in a way. They're putting up billboards around the area that give me a chuckle when I see them. The one I saw the other day reads -" LEAVE THEM NOTHING!!!!" Then in small print underneath, it says - "-to worry about. Plan ahead."  rofl

Viruses typically don't go away immediately just because the body is dead.  How long the virus remains viable after the death of the host depends on temperature, the composition of the outer layer of the virus, etc.

This isn't the plague.  Nothing like the plague.  Something that has killed 0.2% of the population in 18 months in our country is nothing compared to something that killed 30-60% of the European population.  And this 0.2% is from/with not all "of."

Thank you. I was not aware of that.

I am merely suggesting the dead are burned like they did back then
