Maj. Malik Hasan, originally from VA, a convert to Islam who was apparently deployed at some point to Iraq.

The fallout from this will be interesting to watch..

Such a tragedy though.

Yes, i am praying for the Lord's comfort to the victims in this horrible tragedy.  Praying hard

This Hasan is a licensed psychiatrist.  You say he is just recently a Muslim, Tantor?  I was wondering bc of his name. Wondering what he was just prior to converting to Islam. Confused

I heard on the radio just a minute ago that he was a "revert" a convert back to Islam. They didn't say from what.

heard  fox news

It appears now some  knew how upset this fellow  was getting, about  moslems being the ones who the united states were at war against   .

The fellow evidently even had asked to be let out of the army because he was sympathetic to the other side .

So what this a terrorist attack, or a defunct re/convert to Islam trying to follow the Quran?

No Official  army spokes person Has indicated that it was a terrorist attack.

One retired officer who worked with this fellow  seemed to think  the killing were  to up close and personal for that .

They are still investigating . Though

I heard this morning that he had posted on some radical Islamic websites praising suicide bombers as being equivalent to military soldiers falling on a grenade to save their brothers.

Someone needs to check this stuff out, instead of going out of the way being politically correct.

It seems he was sending plenty of signals for trouble! I think it was more than simply an unstable soldier. In the military, while we are fighting in two Muslim countries is no place for someone remotely like this.

You are correct. There is no time for political correctness. Why did this military psychiatrist or psychologist (it is not clear which)  suddenly snap? (although there's proof for pre-meditation)

His religious background showed up & he decided to commit Jihad at the center where the other soldiers didn't have weapons on them. Had he been deployed to Iraq, as said he was to in 3 weeks, he wouldn't have had such an upper hand with his weaponry. There would have been fully armed patrols around him.
He planned this at home bc he could carry out such devastation bc he would have been armed & everyone else would not, at that particular center.

So much for making any more converts to Islam here in the States!  Islam cannot be trusted to be a religion of peace. It seems it takes only a few "radicals" to cause massive damage & loss of life - from wanting an external "jihad." instead of the others who say they seek peace within themselves via an "internal" struggle.

We are seeing the "dangers" in that religion again.

Islam is not a religion of "peace" Too many times proven "violent."

They need to be profiled & interviewed & watched psychologically. We can't be sleeping with the enemy either!

The shooter is an American citizen, born in America.

How would WW2 have turned out if we kicked the catholics and Lutherans out of the armed forces before we went to Europe?

Catholics and Lutherans were not killing American soldiers.

So far a muslim threw a grenade in his mates' tent.  A muslim sailor started a terrorist training camp in Oregon.  A muslim soldier left the Army and joined Al Queada.  Another muslim soldier threw a grenade in his mates' tent during the FIRST gulf war (who turned out later to be the beltway sniper) and now a muslim soldier has massacred a bunch of soldier in FT.  Hood.

See a pattern developing?

Oh, I almost forgot Jeffery Battle, the former soldier who we arrested as he planned to use his army training to levy war on the U.S.

It is not PC, but we need to very carefully screen muslims wanting to enlist in our armed forces.

In Christ,

If the Catholics and Lutherans were collaborating with known enemies of the US at the time over the phone or telegraph praising efforts to kill Americans, it would be equal to this Muslim blogging on a radical Islamic website about the attributes of suicide bombers.
