Hi there everyone, just thought I would share a letter that our witnessing team just sent from Pakistan, it really touched our hearts!
Dear Spread the Cheer,
My name is Fareshteh and I live with my Mom, my Dad, My Sister, and Brother in Lahore, Pakistan. I am 16 years old. My Brother and I have been studying English with Mr. Stanley for one year.
Mr. Stanley gave my brother the Bible, but my uncle threw it away when he found it. My uncle said it was wrong, but me and my brother heard the story of how Jesus really died for us and we know that he loves us very much.
Mr. Stanley gave us a new bible and we showed it to our mom. Mr. Stanley came over and told my parents about Jesus because they said it was OK. We have to do it in secret though because if they catch Mr. Stanley they will make him leave Pakistan and we don't want him to have to do that because he helps us with our English homework and teaches us about Jesus.
Now my mom and dad go to prayer meetings with us too. I hope someday that we can move to America because we are very poor and nobody in our neighborhood is Christian so we are afraid to tell anyone that we are Christian.
Thank you Spread the Cheer for the Bibles you sent us because without them we would have never known about Jesus Christ and we never would have been saved.
In the Name of Jesus,
Fareshteh Noor Al-Din
Lahore, Pakistan
i just love how it reminds you that there IS some good being done in the world!
In Jesus' Name
