I miss spinach!
« on: Sun Sep 24, 2006 - 06:19:20 »
I am not a health nut... far from it, though I do wish I had healthier eating habits.  But I truly like eating fresh spinach and even spinach cooked in many ways.  I really, really hope they get this e.coli epidemic sorted out and we can have spinach again, even though it will probably cost 5.00 a bag or bundle (you know it is going to soar in price when it gets back on the market)!  ::cryingtears::

You can have spinach.  I'll take jalapenos.

I can't find anyone who remembers this, but I do, which makes the whole thing scary. But, when I lived in California, between 78 and 84, there was a time they weren't allowed to sell fresh spinach because of a water rationing period, since people use a lot of water to wash the sand or dirt from the spinach.

I love spinach and jalepenos. I ate greens a couple times while in Georgia the past 2 weeks because there wasn't any spinach offered.

I like both spinach and jalapenos on my sandwich at Subway.  Spinach is so much better than that flavorless styrofoam they call iceberg lettuce.

Burgers are so much better.  Who needs spinach, if I wanted to eat grass like a moo-cow, I'd get on all fours.
