She has had a cold.  ::shrug::
He said some good things against the persecution of Christians in the middle east. He isnt a Christian, so not sure what people expect really. He is like many who think there are many paths to God.

I dont think so. He has been bought up his whole life to be king, and not sure William wants that yet to be honest. I am also pretty sure that he isnt a Christian either which is sad.
It will be a very sad day when she dies, she is an amazing lady with a strong faith. Mind you her mum lived way past 100 so she may well have a few years in her yet.  ::smile:: I just hope I am that healthy when I am 90 ::eek::

I hope you have a long, healthy life, chosen.

If Charles takes the thrown, I don't think I could ever accept Camilla. I think I'll start a "She's not my queen!!" movement.

You have to admit - this election cycle has been the best ever for political memes, skits, and artwork.  ::giggle::

And I'll never forget Rand, with his perm rods wound too tight.  ::giggle::

I don't get the fascination with the royal family of England by Americans.

It's probably more of a girl thing (although all girls aren't interested).
People also tend to be fascinated with things they don't have. We don't have a Charles, Diana, Camilla, Queen thing here.

We had that.  We fought two wars to make sure we didn't have that.

Thank you ::smile::

Yes its all a bit weird because I have never understood why they didn't get married before either of them married other people. They had known each other for ages it seems. Once she was married i think he was pressured to find someone and have heirs to the throne, I don't think he ever truly loved Diana.

Diana was highly popular, and the way they treated her was appalling, but over the years I think people have softened to Camilla more, she does seem pretty down to earth and they do seen genuinely good for each other. It was just such a shame that others got so hurt in the meantime. Another thing is that William and Harry have accepted her and apparently like her, so if they can then surely we can.

The thing is that the queens husband isnt called the king, so not sure why she would need to be the queen.

Well its certainly good for our tourist industry. I can understand it, there's the history and castles and palaces  and kings and queens and its all pretty interesting.

Well it beats treating celebrities as royalty.  Most people want people to look up to, and if they dont have royalty they chose other people.
