Forty years ago I sat in front of a GE black and white tv watching a major world event. I was just a child. At the time I so amazed. I wanted to become an astronaut.  A man steps onto another world. I dreamed about it. What would it have been like? So far from Earth. This day in history. Did this day help people believe in God? From what I have read (there might be one or two who might not believe) everyone who has been there has no doubt about a Creator. If you were to look at the world from so far away what would be on your mind?  Pondering

 It is so cool, not quite old enough to remember, but again how cool that must have been. It is so neat that you remember. There are alot of conspiracy theories about it being a fake landing. I am glad we Americans have been the only man to walk on the moon, makes me proud. Salute! Salute! Salute! Salute! Salute!

In 1961-1962 I was privileged to work for General Dynamics in their Mercury-Atlas and Centaur Rockets space program preparing rockets by static firing them at their "Old Pomerado Road" test site as operational tests for the astronauts Alan Shepard and John Glen. That continued until we test fired a rocket that blew the test site up; liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen were very combustible materials. It was exciting stuff in those days. I would have thought by this time to see light thrust engines, and time travel. Of course science has yet to accomplish curing the swine flu, or predicting the weather; first things first I reckon.   Smile

 Wow, I am impressed Larry, you seem to have accomplished much, and makes me proud to be a fellow okie. I hope no one was hurt during the explosion.

Rahn, I too sat in front of the tv in amazement and wonder thinking we, as Americans, could accomplish anything.  To answer your question: If I were up there today looking down I would ask, "How did we get so far off track and allow our county to become full of so many greedy people?"

I remember watching that eventful day on TV also with my mom and dad. I was just a little kid, but I sure do remember it.
When I think about our Earth and the Stars out there, for me; it just makes God that more amazing and mighty.
Our God really is an Awesome God!
