I've often wished that bible colleges would be more discerning about the people they allow to study with them. Instead of just taking peoples money and hoping for the best, there should be more careful screening of potential applicants.

Stuff like this can make christianity in general look bad. Particularly when there are others in parts of the world dying and being tortured for their faith daily.

Pretty shabby that a buck should ever allowed to be the bottom line in a christian organisations business policy. This isn't a one off case. I've heard others talk about some of the weirdo's you can find in bible colleges, particularly mainstream ones. To be dysfunctional or struggling is one thing, but to have criminal tendencies is another.

When greed takes over, christianity suffers on so many different levels.

At the same time, Bible colleges are struggling financially to survive. And especially with the economy and Obama's proposed drastic reduction in the amount people can deduct from their taxable income when they donate to nonprofits, people are donating much less. I consult with many in their marketing departments and know several Presidents of Universities and the story seems to be the same. They've got to have the tuition to pay their teachers, staff and their other bills of course. Plus a lot of them feel that they can't reject a shady character because it's their job to teach them the Bible and about provide a Christian-based education that might convert them.

So it's not as simple as the broad stroke of "greed" being the problem.

a real close UP  Look at what we do what we humans are  like.

and still God laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all.

LOVES EACH OF  US AND FORGIVES US.

Count me among the mightiest of sinner's,
for One must bear real and true sins to be saved. God does not save imaginary sinner's. So let your sins be strong but your faith in Jesus ,his blood bought forgiveness for your sin's ---be stronger still.

This man graduated from a Bible College before he committed the crime, not afterward.  What does his crime have to do with the college?  Are the administrators of the college supposed to be psychic and know that years after he graduates he is going to murder someone.

"Weirdo's" can be found anywhere, not just in college, even in forums.   Smile
