Sam and Fred are on a merry-go-round, which is spinning clockwise at 15 mph. Sam walks at 3 mph from point A around the edge of the merry-go-round to point B. Fred travels the same path at the same speed, but in reverse, from point B to point A. If they start at the same time they will arrive at the same time, even though the merry-go-round is spinning in only one direction.

This is something you can try for yourself if you don't believe it.

What you need to understand is that the Earth and its atmosphere are the merry-go-round. I will attach a diagram to help explain.

You keep forgetting, in the scenario above, both planes are going in opposite direction and according to Alan only one plane has to account for the earth going at 1,000 miles per house because he claims the earth only rotates in one direction. You show the merry-go-round rotating in two directions.

You still did not account for the plane going in the opposite direction. According to scientists, the earth does not rotate in 2 directions at the same time. Why do you refuse to account for the 1,000 miles per hour in the opposite direction?
