This data is based on the logical belief that the earth does indeed spin.....WE ARE IN MOTION, THAT IS A FACT!

You have to account for why both planes reach their destination airports at the same time when you claim the earth is rotating only one way and you haven't done so.

You still did not account for the plane going in the opposite direction. According to scientists the earth does not rotate in 2 directions at the same time. Why do you refuse to account for the 1,000 miles per hour in the opposite direction?

This is where your math and physics comprehension is failing. The atmosphere does not require to rotate in opposite directions for things that are contained within the atmosphere be subject to the same limitations as ground speed. You are creating a treadmill earth that is spinning at 1000mph devoid of an atmosphere contained withing the stratosphere.


A plane is subject to the same conditions that a car is, but by your logic the car would also be travelling 1060mph travelling east and -940mph travelling west.

Assuming it is flying east at the equator; in comparison to the position of the sun, it is moving at 1600 mph.

But if you have a geocentric universe, then the sun orbits the earth and so does every star out there which puts their orbital speeds at millions of times the speed of light. Even the closest star - Alpha Centauri - at 4 light years would have an orbital speed of half a light-year per hour.

If the plane I am flew in was really traveling at 1,600 miles per hour, I would have got to my destination much faster than what I did.

When I have seen a video on YouTube of a car racing an airplane, they do not add nor subtract to account for rotational speeds of the earth, they just clock the speed the plane is going.

That is due to the fact that planes and cars are not subject to the rotational speed of the earth, which is based on measurement from outside of the earths atmosphere. Both cars and planes are subject to the atmosphere and earths simultaneous rotational speed as measured from the ground and contained within the earths atmosphere.

First off, the jet traveling and the rotation of the earth are 2 different frames of reference.  The first frame is an accelerated frame since it spins with the earth. The 600 mph you cite pertains ONLY to that frame of reference.

In the 2nd frame of reference the jet is traveling at 1600 mph while its destination is moving away from it (in a circular path) at 1000 mph. So it is STILL traveling toward its destination at a differential velocity of 600 mph. (but in this frame it is not a straight line but a curved one)

Yes.  That has to be calculated from the proper frame of reference.  And since we live on the surface of Earth, that is the frame of reference we use for that calculaton.
