high score
 thus far  1850   lines 74  level 5

My name is Lisa and I am a tetris addict---my husband took it off of my computer over 10 years ago and I haven't played since and when I saw it on here I thought, well I can play again and not let it own me.  Well, I must admit I'm powerless over it! Smile

Tetris is a scary game. It hypnotizes me.  Literally.  At this point, I'm tempted to type something that could cause me to be locked up.

Many years ago, I was playing Tetris on an old Nintendo system and had advanced to some upper level.  Time had stopped, and I was aware of nothing but the game.  And I started hearing voices.

Speaking French.

Now, I do not understand a word of French, but suddenly I was hearing this conversation and understood every word of it.

I still play Tetris some, but not nearly as much.

Can anyone tell me what is the proper way to use the red bomb?   They did not have that 10 years ago.

I use the "bomb" to eradicate lines and columns that I don't want (like when I stack up too many on one side or when I have a gaping hole at the bottom and want to be able to use the space to get rid of lines).

I too am an addict: level 10 and 120 lines

Yeah, today is National Common Sense Day, and my kids and I are having a "National Backwards Day" in honor of common sense, you know, we're totally doing non-sensical things like eating pizza for breakfast, ice cream sundaes for lunch, and for dinner we're gonna' have eggs, biscuits and other breakfast nummies for dinner -- and NO VEGETABLES today, nada.  Oh, and we're all wearing our pajamas all day long.  Of course, I'm wasting a bunch of time playing Tetris while they enjoy watching T.V. all day (trust me, this a real treat for them -- we don't watch a lot of T.V).  It's been a totally backwards and completely fun day.  :o)

I say brag away.  I'm very impressed.  I just made it to level 7 and can't imagine how you've made it to level 24.  Can you give a girl a hint?  One thing I'm finding out about me is how legalistic I am or perfectionistic in that I can't seem to let one line have a missing place.  Is that maybe what I am doing wrong?

Also, I can't figure out the proper use of the bomb.  Last time I played there was no bomb so it's throwing me off. Yes, that's it.  I blame it on the bomb! Smile
