Yes, my friend, there have been several reformations in history.  In the Middle Ages the various recovery efforts were all seeking to get back to the fundamentals of the Word of God from the religious tyranny of the RC religion (circa 500 AD to 1500 AD), which Judaized the faith and enslaved people to elitism of religious men and their organization.  During the Middle "dark" Ages there was a revival of God to recover the Gospel message of salvation (called, the Protestant Reformation), which is essential truth and fundamental to all religious thought. In the early 1800's God moved to then recover church truth.  Much has been written on this, which is available at the addresses below.

This fellowship I am with concerns church truth and began in Ireland and then England in 1827 (and J. N. Darby was a principle in this together with three or four others), but through the years our part in this was diminished by some seeking after personal innovations and greater freedoms, and the Open (Plymouth) Brethren (PB) group left the fellowship and became more prominent.  As you may know from history, about 1800 there was a movement by God to revive church truth, out of the denominated sects and systems that developed after the Reformation of circa 1500 (which recovered the true Gospel message). The significant work for the universal church seemed to be that next revival, which was formed in 1827 in Dublin.

God has been faithful to preserve church truth and His pure testimony to this present day, in spite of the divisions which occurred.  Trust God and His Word!   -RLD

Actually God has been restoring truth piece by piece for the last 600 years or so.

And it seems to go in reverse order that things were lost.  One of the first things lost was the Jewishness of the Gospel, lost in the 2nd century.  That is being restored today.

BTW - the RCC never judaized the gospel - they did the exact opposite. They were so anti-all things Jewish that during the Inquisitions they would execute people who were in the RCC but did not work on Saturday or eat pork.

I see the only restoring of Church Truth is with that revival of the early 1800's, and the rest of religion in Christendom is an increase in more sectarianism.

There does not seem to me to be any Jewishness about the real Gospel of salvation.  The Gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, or no gospel at all.  Most of what we are seeing today, I believe, is Christian works in place of faith and devotion to Christ.

Yes, I can see the RC religion opposing Jews which was contrary to their own religious hierarchy, but their religion is very much built on rituals, ceremonies, and Jewish traditions like Israel.  Christianity in its pure form is a New Testament in Christ for the bride, not religious works and dogmas.  

We need to hold to the Word of God as shown in the NT with the advent of Christ, not seek a return to religions of the past.
