I've attended a Pentecostal church in Central America.  The service was basically the same as a non-denominational type service here in the States.  A few songs, a message with an alter call (though not everytime), some prayer and a few more songs.  It was only when they had a special speaker that I saw someone put their hands on anothers head - then that someone sort of fell backwards.  They stood right back up and kept praying.  They didn't stay on the floor rolling around, etc.  I took it to be symbolic of dying with Christ.  They did have water baptism as well. 

No    it is the power of God slaying them in the Spirit    Now when that spiritual door stays open for longer they do roll around on the floor     God is picky who he lands on

The definition from slain or slay is

: to delight or amuse immensely

If a person is touched by the Holy Spirit in such a way they could be in delight of that moment.
Not to sound earthly but if you have ever seen someone drunk they are slain by there alcohol which makes them unable to talk as they usually would or even walk.
This definition can also explain why Pentecostals see people run around in the church when impressed by the Holy Spirit.

I have only witness once someone being slain in the Spirit...never experienced it myself...but..

If God were to suddenly open us up and expose us to His infinite glory and majesty, none of us could handle it. It would completely overwhelm us and overpower us. Our systems might shut down at the enormity of it, and we wouldn't be able to stand up under it or bear it. God is so much bigger than any of us are capable of comprehending, and God is probably protecting us by not revealing the fullness of Himself to us while we are in our weak, mortal bodies. So when the awesome power of God touches a person in a special way, it can easily cause a physical reaction in the frail human body and the frail human nervous system. People's hands or bodies might shake, their knees might get weak or wobbly, they might fall to the ground, and so on. Those of us who have never experienced the Holy Spirit in such a tangible way might think that a person is faking this or is demonized or something, which can sometimes be the case. However, the power of God is real, and God sometimes "touches" people in special ways.

Amen Grace     

Its the Coming upon of the Kingdom    that does it    Sometimes you can actually feel the heavens open and it is like a gentle wind     and other times it like a sudden weight that causes your legs to buckle or you get thrown backwards

depending upon the angle it comes 

Not all get it    so there is a lot of missunderstanding   This is removed when they come into it   Lets say another veil is removed as we go from glory to glory

When you get used to it you can start to perceive what it came upon   What word was been spoken or what words or word in the song where being sung    Its a spiritual door in heaven opening at that time

If you can discern the door then you can enter it    if you cant , then you will just perceive it as a touch from the Lord

When you enter that door you then can release that to earth as it is in heaven    You cant release it unless you hold the key to the door

By then finding out what word it was released upon you then need to go to the word of God later and get understanding  Now you have word and spirit coming together   So you can speak with authority like when Jesus stood up in the temple   You just step back into that spiritual door and speak the word of God    and that way you can release it to others    Now some will love it and some will hate it    Nothing has changed

Some one is going to get this   

And Grace I pray for the coming upon you and that you do get to be slain in the spirit     so that you would know

What is the difference between a Charismatic and a Pentecostal?

not much. Pentecostals are charismatic but not all Charismatics are pentecostal.

I was "revealed" so much in Oct '05 - if a psychiatrist had come over to my house I would have been diagnosed as psychotic for at least 5 hours. And why God "opened me up" to this experience I don't know -but my soil was tilled and ready is all I can imagine.

Can you tell me about it ---you can pm me if you'd like to keep low key - and not  deal with doubters...I've only been speaking in tongues for 3 days!!  I'd love  to hear more.  :)
