I am not saying everyone wants to live like westerns, I am simply saying that we would need 2.5 times the amount of resources the earth has to sustain everyone at that kind of lifestyle

Yes ofcourse it, and I am one of them, pushing my vile agenda with a statistic that is totally unbelevable because you have never heard it.

I found an interesting article today that says that overpopulation is about to peak and then decline sharply due to declining fertility rates. Here's the article: http://www.reason.com/news/show/34848.html

What are your thoughts on this? Is the world overpopulated now? Headed for overpopulation? Or is Ronald Bailey correct in saying that overpopulation is a myth?

 Pondering

There is enough grub in the world for everyone, its just badly distributed.  A family of for in the West sitting round their Christmas Dinner, it could have fed a whole village of folks in the third world.

In that case, it isn't the case that grub is badly distributed, but liberty, which includes private property rights.

This is the Krux of the matter.

I have heard and read that if you took all the people on Earth you could put them all in a giant city the size of Texas. The world is far from bring over populated. The problem is we have an elite group of people that serve Lucifer that want to kill 80% to 90% of us. They do what is refered as soft kill on us here in America. They put poison in our food, water and air. Our traitor gov. pays commununities to put flouride in our water. It is a by product of making fertilizer and poison to the body. It was first used on the Jews by the Germans to make them pacifist. If you do not believe me look it up and learn the truth. They sterilize women to reduce the birth rate. They do what is refered to as eugenics which is killing people i n things such as such as wars, abortions etc. If you are interested in the truth then go to infowars.com, radioliberty.com, calltodecision.com. These are just a few. As Alex says: do not take my word search it and see the truth. The Federal reserve system is owned by a bunch of bankers, they print OUR money and lend it to us and most of your tax money pays the debt. A good scam. By the way taxing a person who trades his time for money according to the supreme court is not legal.  If you want the truth then read (The Creature From Jeckel Island by G. Edward Griffon). It tells how and who came up with the federal reserve system to controll our money. As Rothchild said: I care not who makes the law give me controll of the money. They are behind our preset condition. They want to bankrupt America to bring in their One World Gov. called by our latest traitors as the New World Order.

There is 148,940,000 square km on earth of land.  With 7 billion people on earth, and each person having one acre of land to live on by themselves, you need a little less than eleven million square miles.  There are over 56 million square miles of land on earth.

The overpopulation claim is a farce.

How much of that is arable?

The lowest estimate I can find for desert coverage is 30%

so .7*148940000=104258000

Mountains another 20% off, 20% covered by snow. According to this website

only 30% is farmable

http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2001/DanielChen.shtml

sooo

0.3*148,940,000=44 million square kilometres =16 million square miles

Now if you take away infrastructure, rainforests (6-7% of land area), innaccessable land, impractical farming land such as islands, we have a problem.... A big problem, closing in on that number pretty fast.

how did you miss that with your certificate telling us that you can think these things through?  Outwitted by somebody without a bit of paper  Frowning

Not a big problem at all.  Your overpopulation myth, is what it is, a myth.

And around we go. Argument is presented, argument is disproven, person who put forward first argument still believes what they believed all along.

Just like GW, just like evo, now just like overpopulation.

You haven't proven anything, except in your own mind.

Garry, you posted a land mass figure, and i showed that it was not an appropiate way to show that overpopulation was a myth. Nor did I make any assertion I proved anything. Nothing is 'going on' in my head

You really have shot yourself in the foot in your last few posts haven't you.

Hmmmmm . . .  that sounds a lot like this:

Quote
I’m tired.

Yes, I’m tired. For a couple years I’ve been blaming iron poor blood, lack of vitamins, dieting and a dozen other maladies making you wonder if life is really worth living.

But now I found out, it ain’t that. I’m tired because I’m overworked.

The population of this country is 237 million. 104 million are retired.

That leaves 133 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work.

Of these 29 million are employed by the government. This leaves 19 million to do the work.

Four million are in the armed forces, which leaves 15 million to do the work.

Take from that the total of 14,800,000 people who work for state and city government and that leaves 200,000 to do the work.

There are 188,000 in hospitals, so that leaves 12,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 11,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work.

You and me.

And YOU’RE sitting there reading jokes
