First.....I'd like to show what the word: Philosophy, means.

Philosophy:1.)  The inquiry into the most basic comprehensive principles of reality in general....or, of some limited sector of it as human knowledge, or human values.

2.) The love of wisdom, and the search for it.

3.) The general logical thought process that furnish the rational explanation of anything.
(Encyclopedia Dictionary, 1967).

Christianity is basicly.....God trying to bring mankind back, into keep God's Laws, for mankinds benefit, to having happiness and peace of mind.

In the Bible.....From Genesis to Revelation...that is God's will, for mankind.

Eccl.  12:13   Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.

Every single one of God's Commandments (Laws) is based on the Godly principle of Love.
(Exodus 20:3-17)

In other words, God (Jesus Christ) defines Love, by His Laws.

Jesus Christ (God), mentions Love and Commandments, in the very same sentence.

John  15:10   If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Looking at God's Law, any logically thinking person can see the benefit of God's Laws as pertaining to happiness and peace of mind.

For example:
 "Thou shalt not steal"

Now, if every person on earth abided by that....every person would have peace of mind, that their stuff would be safe from being taken against the owners will.

"Thou shalt not commit adultery"

Every woman and man, would have peace of mind that their husband or wife would be faithful to them alone.
Never any worry about losing that loved one, to someone else.

"Thou shalt not bear False witness against thy neighbor"
(In other words, no lying)

How many people have been hurt, because someone else told something about a person, that was untrue ?
Peace of mind and happiness is destroyed, thru the act of lying.

God forbids such practices......and, for good reason.

Christianity, is based on sound reasoning, thru logical thinking.

1 Peter  4:17   For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God ?

What you have quoted is THEOLOGY which is way above philosophy as philosophy is from the head whereas theology is from the heart!!!

Christianity is based on sound reasoning, between God and man/woman.

Isaiah  1:18   Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

And the rest of God's word, goes into detail, of how that is to be accomplished.
