The key to life is not a secret. The key to life is to obtain everlasting life.
We are not promised wealth, glory, fame, accomplishment. We are not promised that everyone can do everything their hearts desire. In fact, the Bible tells us something very different. While we may be blessed, we are also told Christians will be persecuted.
Satan, on the other hand, will promise wealth, power, and all things worldly.
The message of the Bible and the message of the Secret are totally different.
Satan has the power to give wealth and miracles. We are warned not to believe in all miracles. Test the fruits of the spirit.
As far as your request that Bible verses be used to prove something is wrong with The Secret, this is the same sort of twisted temptation Satan used when quoting scripture to Jesus. That is a dialectical exercise. Because we are given a conscience, we can know to flee that which is not right. It is a blessed gift given us so that we do not need to play the scripture game to know something is wrong.
More on the dialectical process, see authorityresearch.com, it is an excellent resource.
Thanks for your input Mr. J. I sure would like to know other people's opinion on The Secret...anyone else?
