in California with the stimulus, were never in danger... Imagine that. Misleading reporting by the officials maybe? I don't know.... Makes you say Hmmmmm..

I agree, great links, mac...

as for this particular one, there are all sorts of discrepencies all over the country on the reported numbers...both at the state and federal level.

So the states are misreporting the numbers to the feds and the feds are compiling and then misreporting those numbers...

It is dizzying.

The idea of claiming to have "saved" a job is ridiculous to begin with.  There is no way to tell whether a not a job was "saved," it's completely unquantifiable and unverifiable because no criteria for determining whether the porkulous bill had anything to do with a person not being fired exists.  He could claim he saved 10,000,000 jobs and there would be no way to prove or disprove him

actually he could make a case for a few teachers jobs being saved I guess, and for adding government jobs. But I believe that there is a net drain for each govt job added......on balance we LOSE jobs as govt adds them
