Sounds like he was a "Log Cabin" Republican neo-con.

Good riddance.

The Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) is a federated gay and lesbian political organization in the United States with state chapters and a national office in Washington, D.C. The group's constituency supports the Republican Party and advocates for LGBT rights.

Neoconservatism is a political philosophy that supports using American economic and military power to bring liberalism, democracy, and human rights to other countries, but unlike traditionalist conservatives, neocons are generally comfortable with a welfare state; and, while rhetorically supportive of free markets, they are willing to interfere for overriding social purposes.

Who is he?  Who said he was conservative?

He sounds like Ted Rall.

This guy doesn't sound like he ever was conservative, much like a lot of Republicans.

A good example of a neo-con is George W. Bush.
