Anyone hear the crude remarks he made about Sarah Palin's 14 year old daughter in the name of "Comedy" last night?

Wow... the left just has no boundaries... had some GOP said anything NEAR that about one of Obama's daughters...  it would be all out WAR...

It's plain to see that the "Etertainment" people speak for the left....  how proud are they today?

Yes he is sixty two years old. Pedophile comes to mind. He should be investigated, for this. Imagine the uproar if the presidents daughters Sasha, and Mylia (sp) were talked about in this manner. They would have storm troopers, and rightly so. This man ( old man i a pervert and out of line) I will never watch him, not like I ever did. SHAME ON HIM. The perverted Jerk.

You can't investigate someone for making an idiotic and inappropriate joke, no matter how bad.  It's America.  You need evidence of a crime, not bad jokes.

The 14-year-old in the Palin family is Willow, and Letterman was talking about Bristol - the 18 year old who got "knocked up" by her boyfriend at age 17.

I understand if you don't like DL, but get your facts straight.

I don't know, that might put a lot of posters in the political threads behind bars.  Look around

Letterman has semi-apologized for confusing Willow and Bristol.

He said he still likes the joke about Palin updating her loose flight attendant look joke.

OK, how about this I hope someone makes an innappropriate joke about the presidents daughters all of you blowing it off. How do you like that. I am just spouting, I really do not, because kids are kids and letterman is an ugly, old, unfunny man.

Uhm, no, it's Letterman who needs to get his facts straight.  His top ten list included a joke about an "awkward moment" for Palin when during the seventh inning at a Yankees baseball game, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.  Bristol was not with her mother at the game.  Willow, 14 years old, was.

Letterman is an idiot. He has no intelligence whatsoever. His idea of humor is dropping a television set off the roof and watching it crash to the ground. Oh yeah, at Thanksgiving he drops a frozen turkey. Sooooo funny. Have you seen how he interviews people? No intelligent questions at all. It's like he doesn't do any reading up on his guests to develop an interesting repertoire during taping.

Letterman: How was you holiday?
Guest: O.K.

Letterman: Visit the family?
Guest: Yes.

Letterman: Who in your family?
Guest: My mom and dad.

Letterman: Things go well?
Guest: Yes.

Letterman: Do you have any family members in show business?
Guest: No.

....

Boring.

Letterman is a gap-toothed hypocrite. Talk about someone getting knocked up, why does he not mention his five year old kid, with whom he knocked his girlfriend up with. Palin made a mistake, trying to do the right thing. Eighteen is still a kid, made to feel like a sl*t by a male sl*t, for the rest of your life, like some dirty life-form makes me sick. Letterman is just a stupid, unkind man. Let him make jokes about Obamas daughters and watch the left, gnash their teeth, and rip their clothes.

I was fully prepared to become outraged as Mr Letterman spoke in such a vulgar fashion about Governor Palin's 14 yr old daughter.

But then I learned that Mr Letterman was really speaking of Governor Palin's 18 year old daughter when he said she would get "knocked up" by Alex Rodriquez ... as Governor Palin watched from the stands.

I feel a LOT better about things now.

Except that no one here blew it off, and no one has even come close to defending his remarks.  Not thinking people should be rounded up and put on trial for their exercise of free speech is not "blowing it off."

Like I said, I don't think you folks really want people put on trial for unfunny or crude remarks.  Especially as many are in this one thread.

You can't investigate someone for making an idiotic and inappropriate joke, no matter how bad.  It's America.  You need evidence of a crime, not bad jokes.

But from the reports I've seen, Willow was the one that attended a NY Yankee game. But yes I'm sure Letterman got his Palins mixed up. And his remarks about either were out of line. Even if he meant the older daughter, it wouldn't make it much better.

Personally, I can see the Palin's reaction since it was in fact the younger daughter that attended the NY Yankee game. I too woulda thought, "what they heck is he doin' talking about Willow". Since everyone had a free for all on the older daughter's situation in the campaign.
