Well, last night listening to CNN and Fox was illustrative.
On CNN the dour looking girl and the "expert" couldnt seem to say enough "we just cannot know why, its too soon, its bad to presume, we just dont have a clue"
Fox News: we have web postings the guy made about suicide bombers, we have him ranting on base about the war, we hear he shouted allah akbar while shooting

Which one was spinning?

One Network is NOT a real news network according to the Obama administration.

If you go to CNN.com and FOX.com  there are still stark differences in their reporting.

Why is CNN ignoring this guys background?

Because it doesn't matter.  If you want yammer on about the "religion of peace," I have two words for you:

"Eric Rudolph."

Two more:

"Shelley Shannon."

Two more:

"Scott Roeder."

Two more:

"Michael Griffin."

Blaming religion first for violence is a very sharp two-edged sword, and those who rush to blame it first in others invariably tend to soft-pedal when the faith accused is a faith espoused.

Truth be told, and we know this from the gospels, religion is the rationalization, not the source.

This time is sadly, tragically, no different.

Ah yes, the typically liberal argument.

"Christianity is evil so everything anyone else does is ok."

Sorry, but your post is garbage.  Four separate individuals comitting one murder does not even begin to compare to the terrorist attacks from muslims wearing our uniforms.  I know that, in your eyes, the fact that claimed to be Christians excuses islam and the thousands of death it has caused, but it is completely different.

CNN and Fox are competitors but they are both fundamentally conservative. I heard those same exact facts from other sources as soon as they were available. The real differences is that Fox is willing to immediately draw conclusions from unconfirmed data. As far as why Fox was willing to focus on religion so early on? They have no class and because of their ultra nationalistic perspective and their largely fundamentalist audience. So focusing on that gets more ad revenue. Its like when a crazed American rapes and kills a some Iraqis the most irrational elements in the Islamic world use it as ammo for their political agenda.

So the real question isn't about why CNN and Fox are different, the question that should be be asked why Fox News and radical Islamic news sources so are so similar.

Didn't say that. What I did say is that all religious adherents are inclined to rationalize bad conduct in line with their professed faith.  Christianity is no different; we remain fallen beings in need of grace as we travel the journey of faith.

Sorry, your response makes my point.

Mere rationalizing.  You're arguing that "Christian" violence is more excusable because of scale?

Really? You've never met me, and nothing you've written has refuted my points.

Oh, it is the religion of peace (right). Well since we have one in the WhiteHouse, why not one in the Military, heck a bunch of Muslims. You know the ones we are fighting against. I have not heard any of them speak out against this crime, I betcha I will not either,

Those who have eyes to see, let them read:

Quote
In a statement, the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations
(CAIR) said:

"We condemn this cowardly attack in the strongest terms possible and ask that
the perpetrators be punished to the full extent of the law. No political or
religious ideology could ever justify or excuse such wanton and indiscriminate
violence. The attack was particularly heinous in that it targeted the
all-volunteer army that protects our nation. American Muslims stand with our
fellow citizens in offering both prayers for the victims and sincere
condolences to the families of those killed or injured."

Ok, now I am speaking as a moderator....you have crossed the line with that statement.

Disagree all you want, that's fine, but in your post you either equated Jesus Christ to Satan or you equated me to Satan.  Both are inappropriate and inexcusable.

You have a conflict of interest and lack credibility.  You give yourself leave to insult others, and yet claim that your insults are "In Christ."  Yet you take offense at being called on it.  You would do well not to claim divine imprimatur for your hasty and angry remarks.
